You’re undoubtedly familiar with the holiday gift-giving conundrum of trying to find the perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for someone on your list. The question is usually framed this way: what do you give someone who has everything?
Clearly, the context for this question is basically material in nature. We shop. We buy gifts. And we exchange them with our loved ones. Nothing wrong with that, of course.
But, what happens when you think of gift-giving from a spiritual perspective? Now, finding the right gift takes on a whole new level of meaning, because what do we need that we don’t already have?
We’re got our I AM Presence…that wonderful individualized manifestation of God right in the center of our being. And we’re got our Christ Self that Jesus taught us is the consciousness we are all in the process of developing and expanding.
Is there anything else we need? Well, actually, yes.
Even though we have God and Christ within, we’re still bound to the treadmill of our human existence, which can easily distract us from the highest trajectory of our soul. Life is busy, after all, often difficult and it constantly demands our attention.
What we need are regular reminders of our true natures. We need the ascended masters who have gone before us to show the way. We need inspiration and role models to keep us on the path the masters define. And we need brothers and sisters in this earthly realm who willingly share our path.
These are the priceless gifts we can give each other now, not just during the holidays, but every day!
We are so very fortunate to have been granted extraordinary opportunities to know God and have an intimate relationship with Him, a relationship that completely transcends our human experience.
To put it simply, we are spiritually gifted. And when we share our gifts, they go on giving…forever!
This year, give the gift of Light. In print. In song. On the screen or on the air. In meditation or prayer. Near or far. Loud or soft. Light’s beauty knows no bounds and its expression knows no limit. Your sincere intention to share your Inner Light is sufficient. When you do your best, the Light will do the rest.
