Why Does God Test Us?
No man knoweth the measure of himself.
These are the words of the great ascended master, El Morya. What they mean is this: there is not one among us who could not benefit from the refiner’s fire. We all have lessons to learn, karma to balance and cosmic appointments to keep. These are the initiations we face on the Homeward trek, and they come to all of us.
Why? Because how else can God and our Higher Self know when we are ready to advance? Our works must be tested to see if they are made of sufficient light, purity and proper intention. And when you decide to treat each test, each initiation, as an opportunity to make progress, you will come to the place where gratitude replaces endurance, and where joy replaces suffering.
It’s all part of the plan. And we need never travel the path of initiation alone. Those who have gone before to show the way – the ascended masters – are always here to help. We can call on the angels, too.
However we choose to proceed and with whatever allies we enlist, we can count on this: We’re going to be tested!
Let us face it. Embrace it. And gratefully allow each test to confirm our mastery…or show us where we can do better.
Here is the ascended masters’ simple wish for us: May we pass all our tests!
It is an absolute requirement of the law of life that you don the spirals of integration–integration with God, your own Real Self. Day by day, line by line, the challenge of initiation is to integrate the soul, that potential of selfhood, with the Spirit of the living God, the I AM THAT I AM. And the keys to integration are (1) the science of harmony, (2) the science of energy flow, and (3) the science of the spoken Word.
