Freedom and Victory Are at Hand!

Part 2

This which you now see, these words which you now hear, my vibrations which you now feel are passing through the atmosphere of Earth. They are passing through bodies which have not always retained their original God-purity. They are passing through consciousness which has not always retained its own God-purity. And therefore, you see, you do not feel the fullness of my blazing light.

It is true, you are able to touch upon it and you are able to sense my great love as I bring it forth to you today. But you will, as you purify your worlds more and more, enter into such a great era of freedom that you will feel as though this day, as advanced as it is, was but a beginning on the Path. Some of you may almost smile. You may say, “This certainly doesn’t seem like a beginning, Saint Germain.” But I tell you, when we first made our ascension, it was a beginning for us in heaven’s octave.

Remember, until you are cut free, as David Lloyd was1 and as the rest of the ascended host were, it is difficult for your consciousness to fully appreciate the great God-freedom which we radiate and manifest. But when you do enter into that era, into that octave of light, at that moment the gratitude of your heart will flood toward the earth in such a wave of light that people all over the planet will feel the God-happiness as each one of you makes his ascension. How many of you know that strange moments that come to mankind, when they are literally flooded with happiness for no apparent reason, are often the result of a reflection of ascension’s light as a soul is making the ascension?

How many of you are aware of the tremendous assemblies of heaven’s host? This, you may feel, is a relatively small assembly.* But it is not, because there are present here hundreds and hundreds of great cosmic beings from other systems of worlds, Cosmic Christs, friends of light. The beloved Lanto has made a special trip today to come here to New York to be with me. Although he is not going to speak to you today, he is here pouring out his love. And there are so many with me that I shall not even begin to name them.

Beloved ones, rejoice with me! Rejoice with me that all of these beloved ones of light are here. Rejoice with me that you can come together and receive my love and my radiance. As beloved Jesus once said, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”2

I want everyone in this audience to think for a minute on those words: “It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.Who dares to spurn this gift? Who dares to spurn the gift of the infinite Father of Light? He stands ready and waiting—your own God Presence—to bestow upon you his kingdom here and now. He is willing to open up the gateways to the continents of the air and to the majestic, untrammeled cosmic highways and to bring down the radiance of our eternal spheres into the octave of Earth. And mankind, who know not what they do, are willing to turn aside to a mere paltry human show.

I ask you, my beloved friends, if this is not a day of seriousness. You have enjoyed the food which was served to you this day, and I have enjoyed your conviviality. It is not our intention to make of you such austere beings that you are not able to appreciate one another. But it is our intention to create in you the cleanness of a new heart every day and by violet fire to wipe away every trace of discord that has ever been stamped upon your image, until each one of you gains and holds and retains a greater sense of responsibility—a greater sense of responsibility to God and the ascended host.

It is true, very true, that I am one who appreciates ordered service. And I would appreciate (as nothing has ever been appreciated in this particular century) and beloved Morya would appreciate the diligence of the student body in holding fast the good which has been given themand loosing their hold upon all that is not good.

People hold that which is not good, and they release that which is able to be their freedom. I would, in the name of Almighty God, that you would resolve now that this shall not be. You think, perhaps, your resolution is a simple thing. I tell you it is not. Every idea that is born—from a human psyche to the greatest sun of the system of worlds—begins as a resolution or resolve or plan, call it what you will. And you too, each one, must resolve to be examples of God-freedom on this planet.

I AM called the God of Freedom. America is called the heart of freedom too. All of this is true. Words are somewhat meaningless unless the words themselves are given meaning. They can be given a practical reality when they are called forth and held onto. If you hear or accept a truth and forget it or do not walk in the light of it, it would be perhaps just as well if you had never heard it. Everyone is responsible for whatever of knowledge and light is vouchsafed to them. And today I would like to give you, as my cosmic gift, my expanded idea of freedom. I do not feel that mere words are going to give you this idea. And, therefore, on this occasion I am going to ask you to do something.

It is true that many times the student body, as we are speaking, spontaneously rise to their feet and stand in honor of my light or some other ascended being. In which case, because we do not care to have the forcefield disturbed, we ask you to be seated. Today I am going to ask you, at a given point here, to stand and to hold your hands not above your head but about at shoulder level. And then I would like to give you, by radiation, my feeling of eternal God-freedom.

You may stand.

Won’t you please be seated.

I wonder, beloved ones, how many of you really realize that I know each of you personally. How many of you realize that a cosmic being who is here present knows every thought, every idea, every aspiration of your mind? I know that if you think about it, you will realize the truth of it. I would like to merely mention it now, as I have done, that you may realize that my hand is extended to each of you. I play no favorites. Some of you have served the light with a greater measure of devotion than others, and this has been so of freedom’s light always.

The early patriots, George Washington and many others, are known to most of you, as is the cry: “Give me liberty, or give me death!”3 But individuals today, in most cases, have failed to have and retain a sense of that particular feeling of “Give me liberty, or give me death!” They have chosen inertia. They have chosen the road that leads to doing nothing or doing a little or doing what they have wanted to do.

Our instruction has been used as a help in many cases. And most individuals, who have been diligent through the years, deserve a tremendous amount of credit, it is true. But I think this credit is all in their causal bodies. And whether or not I select you out today and individually shake your hand or compliment you personally, I want you to know that in your heart of hearts and in my heart your name is written. The knowledge of what you have done for the light is there. And this particular service which you have rendered and that which you shall render is known to me and earns and merits my eternal gratitude, as it earns and merits the eternal gratitude of every son of heaven.

This particular convocation shall be very glorious. I do not think it necessary that I promise you this. I think you shall feel and know that this is true. There are many things I could tell you today. I do not choose to tell you all that is inmy heart, in words. I feel that the relaxation, the love, the devotion, the service and the accomplishments thus far speak best for themselves. And perhaps even my words would merely serve to be a superficial embellishment. Yet, of course, I hope not.

Beloved ones, throughout the balance of this class, try to retain our radiation. Try to realize yourselves as flowers. Try to realize yourselves as a buttercup or a rose or a beautiful flower—a perfect manifestation of divinity. And feel our radiance and love as the sunlight pouring down upon this cup of your consciousness. And in this cup of consciousness there is a dewdrop—a dewdrop like the tears of the Madonna, resting there. This is a composite sorrow of the Deity as it expresses through the Mother aspect of Almighty God, because the Mother of the World desires to gather her children beneath her arms of everlasting love. And she would hold them there in one great cosmic unity.

And the eternal cosmic sorrow has been directed to this earth as tears of the Madonna, who is hoping that in this age the culmination of our efforts shall not be in vain but that men shall learn themeaning of love through attunement and retention of attunement until—in divine relaxation and divine righteousness and right use of energy—they shall not fail. Neither shall they pass who would hurt or destroy in the holymountain of God.4 They shall not pass who desire to hurt in the holy mountain of the Most High God. And they shall not fail who desire to serve the light.

The dividing of the way has come. The cosmic hour has struck! And the light itself has descended to this earth, with the light of a thousand suns, in the coming of the Cosmic Christs through this magnificent dispensation from the heart of Helios and Vesta.5 Children of Earth, awake! awake! awake! awake! From the four winds of the earth comes the good news that freedom and victory are at hand!

You are instruments of freedom. As independence was brought about on this continent through holymen dedicated to a purpose, so again I propose in God’s name: “Sign that document!”6 Sign the document with your heart’s light and love, and pledge your fealty to Almighty God and the ascended host. And I am sure, in a cosmic United States of America’s freedom, that the ascension light shall so engulf mankind that whether you are ascended or unascended, you will look up to the realms of glory and the clouds of heaven with a feeling of cosmic confidence in your heart that you had a part in producing and sustaining the light of God, your Father’s light, which does not, cannot, will not, shall not fail!

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”

This dictation by Saint Germain was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Mark L. Prophet on Saturday, July 2, 1960, during the 1960 Independence Day Convocation, which was held in NewYork City. Part 1 of this Pearl of Wisdom is published in this volume, no. 1.

1. At the age of twenty, David Lloyd, son of a British officer in India, received a message from an unascended master that when he found a man on a great mountain in North America who would offer him a crystal cup of sparkling liquid, he would find the one who could assist him in making his ascension. Despite trials, disappointments and sorrows, David Lloyd continued his search for fifty years, until the day he happened upon Guy W. Ballard on Mount Shasta. Ballard indeed gave him the crystal cup of “living liquid-light” and then grasped both of David Lloyd‘s hands in his own.The moment of promise had come, and, in the presence of Guy Ballard, David Lloyd physically ascended from Mount Shasta. Ballard (under the pen name Godfré Ray King) described this encounter in his book Unveiled Mysteries (Chicago: Saint Germain Press, 1939), pp. 235-42.

3. Early American patriot Patrick Henry, convinced that war with Great Britain was inevitable, delivered a fiery speech in the 1775 session of the Continental Congress. In it he declared: “There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations. ... Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!

Their petition was granted through Helios, who announced in his May 27, 1960, Pearl of Wisdom that “all sincere students and chelas of the ascended masters who apply their hearts to their own God Presence I AM, asking that they be made a divine channel through which the power and presence of one or more of the Universal Christs located on other systems of worlds shall flow during hours of sleep—or even consciously as the Great Law directs—shall promptly and without delay be vested with our power in accordance with the cosmic law in order to enable these Christs to anchor their radiation and presence in the physical, thinking, feeling and memory worlds of such volunteers so as to provide a means whereby a Cosmic Christ can be assigned to each laggard on this planet (they are legion) individually in order to help control the spread of discord and transmute their thoughts and feelings to love for the Light!”

6.According to tradition, on July 4, 1776, Saint Germain inspired the signers of the Declaration of Independence with an impassioned speech urging the patriots to “Sign that document!” George Lippard, in Washington and His Generals: or, Legends of the Revolution (published in 1847), writes of this moment when the unknown man swayed the founding fathers to act. According to legend, the mysterious visitor said: “They may stretch our necks on all the gibbets in the land. They may turn every rock into a scaffold, every tree into a gallows...and yet, the words on that Parchment can never die!... These words will go forth to the world when our bones are dust. To the slave in the mines they will speak hope; to the mechanic in his workshop, freedom.... Sign! if the next moment the gibbet’s rope is around your neck! Sign! if the next moment this hall rings with the echo of the falling axe! Sign! by all your hopes in life and death.... Sign—and not only for yourselves, but for all ages.... As God lives, my friends, I believe that to be his voice!” A wild murmur spread through the hall and then one after another rushed forward to boldly sign his name.
