Freedom ’83 in the Heart V
The Mercy and Grace of Lord Jesus
Blessed ones of Mercy’s flame, my co-servers in the retreat of Mercy’s light, with me under the direction of the Lords of Karma, have completed a twenty-four-month study of the lifewaves of earth by assignment and out of concern for the turning of worlds and for the future and the outcome of life as it is now known upon this planet.
Many reports have come forth from this study and from the analysis of each individual lifestream—all previous incarnations, the rate of progress and the hope, if any, for Christhood in this one-hundred-year cycle that has begun in the year 1976.1
Beloved hearts, we have discovered what of course could be known by us but must be documented and studied, scrutinized for presentation before the councils who are our sponsors—that many of those in embodiment today do not have even an inkling of the example or the message of Jesus Christ or of any other recent avatar to whom they might relate.
You must realize that here in the West the person and figure of Christ is a given. When one speaks the name Jesus Christ, one understands an image, a life, a sacrifice, the path of the Saviour and the hope of the world. But for many, not the image of Christ, not the figure of the Real Self has even a modicum* of relevancy in their everyday and day-to-day thought processes.
Therefore, the only means whereby a transfer or an internalization of that flame might occur is through present-day example of Christhood. The presence of love, the presence of the Holy Spirit as vibration, as action, as word, as teaching—this was and is the foundation of the American culture, which we have sought to inculcate in her youth these two hundred years.
Early educational instruction enabled children to internalize the virtues and the honor, the leadership of a Christed one. But with the manipulation of the minds of the children there was a loss of stature and of identity and internalization of true worth.
Therefore, in this day and hour, even many Americans have not an idea what the current manifestation of Christ is all about. They know not which way to go or whom to follow. They are burdened, therefore, in not having teachers and shepherds. They follow the false ones. Thus the return to discipleship for the purpose of being the embodiment of the master, for the purpose of the Word made flesh2 that all might behold and know what is the meaning of that one, is at hand.
By Mercy’s flame, I extend to you the Mother of Christhood, of Mercy’s flame, of grace that you might understand how important it is to reach for, to seize the torch of Liberty!3
This torch contains the inner calling of the golden man of the heart4 for a nation, for the return of the twelve tribes, for the return of the seed of Sanat Kumara. The torch of Liberty is a magnificent torch whereby the inner blueprint of the hundred and forty and four thousand might be internalized by this nation and all who come to her shores as disciples of the I AM Presence.
It might even be said, as you look upon this torch, that one could see, if one could count, one hundred and forty-four thousand separate leaping flames of golden-yellow light. And in the very heart of the torch, that yellow turns to a pink that reflects the love of Helios and Vesta. And in the very center itself, there is the tingeing of the blue and at the base, the white.
The overwhelming presence of the I AM Race is, however, the golden flame of illumination, which is the illumination of the Christ mind and the Christ light whereby all who embody this may truly say: America is the light of the world. I AM the light of the world.5
May you go forward in the affirmation, “I AM the Christ incarnate, in the name of the Goddess of Liberty, in the name of the Lords of Karma, in the name of Kuan Yin.”
I add to this torch, beloved ones, the full-gathered momentum of that Mercy flame whereby, in the very handle itself as you seize it, there may be transferred—through the very grasp and reach of your right arm—a descending current of the mercy and grace of the Lord Jesus that there might precede within your temple a saturation of Mercy’s flame in preparation for a mighty kindling light of Liberty, which is descending in this hour upon earth.
It is the hour of the Mother and of Sanat Kumara. And therefore, each member of the Karmic Board joins us now on this platform to add to this mighty torch—that is yours to claim—the momentum of our office to facilitate your internalization of this Liberty flame by the full grace of our office and our causal body. [55-second applause]
To the left of the Goddess of Liberty, Portia stands and will now deliver to you her message and momentum of God-justice.6

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”
This dictation by Kuan Yin was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Monday, July 4, 1983, during the seven-day retreat, Freedom ’83 in the Heart, held in the Heart of the Inner Retreat, Park County, Montana. This dictation is the second in a series of seven given by the Karmic Board that day.
