Love of Service
Jean Inglis Allison served on the staff of The Summit Lighthouse for thirty-one years, beginning in 1974. The messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet told Jean in 1997 that she had balanced 55 percent of her karma and she would make her ascension at the end of this life. Jean made her transition from the physical plane in September 2013. Following are excerpts from her autobiography, Journey to Reality.*
My greatest opportunity has been serving the public in many diverse ways. The lesson is love of service, no matter where you are. Each day brings new interactions, testing, listening and hopefully doing the will of God....
I was always so grateful to work on the phones. That position gave me time to talk to people all over the world.... I had many opportunities to listen to people’s troubles. Mainly, I called to the Holy Spirit to help me help them walk through their problems. Just listening to people’s problems gives them time to reflect on what’s bothering them, and that’s half the battle. . . . If the problem was pretty heavy-duty, I asked people to send a small picture of themselves to put on my world map. I got up at 3:30 a.m. to start my decrees for the day, and of course I saw all the faces....
I have learned in life to be kind and courteous to everyone, because each soul has its burden. Love the soul, because that is the key to see through the density that some people place upon themselves. Send them love instead of negative thoughts. It is such a healing balm to the soul, a ray of hope and redemption that can make a difference in the blink of an eye....
We can help each other to find our way home to the power we have within ourselves and to our true identity in this great universe of God’s kingdom.... Each step of the way is a stepping stone of maturity that leads you to a wholeness and a completeness.... This path has its stones and briars. But they are nothing when the soul is happy, casting off the darkness and looking to the light and to the God within.
