Peace in the Interior Castle
War as Vengeance of the Fallen Ones against the LORD God
Oh, with what love the Father has endowed the precious child of his heart!
I come in the flame of that love as the wisdom of the ages, which was to us at Assisi a love of practical action in the rebuilding of the house of God.1 To repair the old is sometimes acceptable, but then again it is necessary to build anew from the very foundation unto the tower of the castle room, where the light shines, glistening in the sun and leaping from the fire of the eye unto the fire of the soul. In that day we could rebuild; in this day we must build anew.
And so, mindful of the light and the love of the Christ within you, I share with you the deep devotion of the ascended masters unto the chelas of the will of God and how we have placed our love as a nugget of gold in your heart, even as a replica of our very own self.
Do you know, beloved ones, we cherish the memories of our love shared with the disciples of Christ upon earth, and so the tapestries of our consciousness contain the little vignettes of those moments of devotion. As I stand here, then, this morning, I recall well when our beloved Clare came in the midnight hour to present herself as the virgin consciousness for our order,2 presenting not the wealth of her family but the most precious wealth of all—the purity of soul, manifest in the locks of hair which I took from her and which have been preserved unto the present hour. These relics of the saints yet focus the devotion that in centuries past has been the very sacred fire in the rebuilding of the Church. And so the tapestry of the devotion of yourself as a brother of Francis, a sister of Clare is brought to my heart. For many among you were present at that event, and others followed, sensing the light of the star, the focus of the Mother.
Beloved ones, to come to the altar at midnight signifies the desire to be wed to the Lord Christ, signifies, then, the sensing of the soul of the promise of the Lord Christ that he would come as a thief in the night.3 Who is this thief in the night? Is it not the great initiator that comes in the darkest night of that human consciousness, coming as a thief to steal, then, from you those energies which you have misappropriated and misused?
And so he comes to strip you of all outer garments, all amassing of a personality outside the personality of God. And therefore, the removal of the clothes of the world and the putting on of the Franciscan habit is a sign that those who are the devotees would be stripped of the worldly consciousness, the glamour, and that which seems to add to the self an iden-tity which only seeks to impress but [in reality] detracts from the soul within its identity in God.
Enter in to the Interval of the Heart
O blessed cherishment! O love of the soul that enters in to the interior castle, that communes there with the King of kings! That soul desires no outer manifestation to stand between it and the love of the LORD God.
So, each one of you, so devoted to the inner light which you have witnessed, to you I come with the gentle flowers of my heart, with the transfer of my own Electronic Presence as a miniature, as a tiny painting in oil, which I place within the sanctuary and the secret chamber of your heart, that you might know that I am watching with you as you walk the path of putting on the Greater Self and discovering that that lesser self may be consumed day by day without pain, without suffering, without aloneness.
O beloved of my heart, wherever you find yourself on the Path, let us pause for a moment. Let us be free of time and space. Let us enter in to the interval of the heart. O sacred interval of the heart, now receive these souls of light into the very heart of God. O come, O come, precious souls, in this moment that is outside of the plane of karma and cause and effect, outside of all save the bliss of the inner union.
So many times, you who are weary, carrying the pack of karma upon your back, forget that God has provided the interval of the heart wherein, in the hours and the moments of meditation, you may be free from those experiences of burden, of the condemnation of this world. And you may enter in to the interior castle, where you worship at the throne of God, even as God himself will, then, bow before the light of his own flame within you.
And your soul, in its intrinsic worth as the potential of the very Godhead, can know the birthright, the honor and the accord unto the prodigal son that is always given to those who come having toiled well in the Father's vineyard, who have loved his law supremely, who have partaken of his great wisdom, who have hungered and thirsted after his righteousness4 as the Body and Blood of the Saviour—those who forget not the patience of the saints, waiting, yes, waiting century upon century, for the fulfilling of his law within the very body of God, waiting patiently for the judgment of the good and the evil, for the judgment of the seed of light and the seed of the wicked. All of this is unto the LORD God.
And we who tarry and we who labor and we who watch are not so much concerned with these things of the judgment. For we know that in the hour of his coming, in the descent of the fire of the Holy Ghost, that rushing of the mighty wind that is upon the earth, in the inner ear of the devotee, will swallow up all that is unreal, will sanctify all that is real. And we will stand naked before our God and be clothed upon by the holy angels with robes of righteousness, signifying our right use of the Law by his Word, by his Work, by his Love.
O gentle hearts, when you perceive the gentleness of the love of the Saviour even with all the world in its loud cruelty, in the political pressures and vying for position (as the fallen ones now enter the ring as bulls, one against the other) and you see the interplay of these forces and hear the cry of war and the intent of evil—realize that all of this, all of this must fade into unreality in the moment of bliss in the interior castle. This moment of bliss is the infusion of your soul with light, with health, with purity, with the dynamism of the great Word. O beloved heart, O beloved heart, the infilling of your being with the precious energy of God in this moment of meditation will give you that contact with the very throne of Alpha and Omega whereby you, then, walk the earth as a mighty conqueror, confident in the reality of the LORD God within you.
The Outrage of the Fallen Ones
I am come with a great flame of peace. Peace, beloved ones, as a vibration is most threatening to the fallen ones. They cannot bear to abide long in its presence, for it is an irritant to the turmoil within them. And so, precious hearts, he who raises up the flaming sword of peace must be prepared for that which is a planetary momentum of anti-peace.
You have seen over thousands of years that the history of the earth is a history of epochs marked by war—war upon this and that continent. The earth has scarcely been free of bloodshed for all of these centuries. It is because, beloved ones, the flame of the Ancient of Days, the flame of Gautama and the Lord Christ is a living flame of peace. It is always a two-edged sword which keeps the way of the Tree of Life.5
The angels with the flaming sword who guard the open door of Eden, beloved ones, they guard the peace of the Almighty. It is, as it were, a piece of his cosmic consciousness focused upon earth within the avatar incarnate. And, beloved ones, those who have not peace within their own interior temple then come. And if they have not passed the initiations of peace, then they demand a piece of that pie of the one in whom it is ordained to carry that flame. And so, beloved ones, when, because of their disobedience, it is denied unto them, then they become enangered, outraged, against the one who holds the key to peace and yet will not divide that peace among the evolutions of light and darkness, but who will keep that peace only for those who have come under the rod of the Initiator, Lord Maitreya.
This is why there is war upon earth, beloved ones. War millions of miles from this place6 is yet the aggravation of the fallen Martians, who have taken incarnation upon earth, who have fomented their warlike manifestations in Africa, in South America, in Europe, their terrorism, their Communism, their spreading of the diabolical disease of socialism and a scientific humanism.
Beloved ones, all of this is the vengeance against the LORD God himself because he will not transfer to them the feast of the gods, the feast of the flame of peace. He will not transfer to them the Body and the Blood of Christ, the Alpha and the Omega of peace. And so the revenge is to terrorize the people, to amass them into opposing camps, to create bloodshed.
And each time the blood of a child of God is shed, so the astral hordes come as vampires and they mock God in their finite level of the astral plane. They mock him as, in the guise of mad dogs, they lap up the blood of the saints. And they say, “See, LORD God, if you will not give to us the Blood of the Saviour, we will take it from your children.” Beloved ones, they only hasten their judgment. For in the day that they take the life of the soul of God, in that day, they receive, then, the judgment of the Lord Christ.
The Defense of the Light of Peace
Fear not. I give you a lesson in cosmic psychology. I give you the understanding that when the light increases, then the light must be defended. And the light of peace is always defended by the flaming sword of peace.
And therefore I desire that you shall raise up upon this property a monument of the flaming sword such as the one which is in our nation's capital,7 this one nation under God. And let that flaming sword, then, be the sign to all in all octaves that to enter here you must have and receive the judgment of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. And thus, in entering here, you accept the dividing of the way within your consciousness, the binding of the energies of anti-peace and the defense of the light of peace.
Beloved ones, the victory of the earth and her evolutions depends upon the successful defense of peace as an active offensive, as the filling of the earth, which is a cup, with the precious Blood of the Lord Christ and the Blood of the martyrs, of the saints robed in white. This Blood, as the essence of the sacred fire, will fill all the earth with the cosmic consciousness of the selflessness of thousands upon thousands, even the ten thousand times ten thousand who are gathered before the throne of the Lamb and of the LORD God.8
Let the earth, then, be filled with peace. Know, then, that as our writings are distributed upon every continent—the book Prayer and Meditation, which I have had the privilege to inscribe with and under the direction of my own Lord and Saviour9—there will come to the earth an increase in the vibration of peace. And with that increase, beloved ones, you can expect the alchemy, the alchemicalization, that will force out of the subconscious the hidden motives of war, the hidden motives of the fallen ones.
Commune with the Great God Who Lives within You
Understand, then, that there is a science to the thrusting of light into the body of God. You must, then, not be taken unaware when you feel the reaction to our thrust of power and wisdom and love. Know that you must understand there is that point/counterpoint. And with every release of light, you, then, following the giving of the spoken Word, must be still, even for a minute, as you clasp your hands to your heart and go within and visualize the great sphere of light. And know that the reaction to the light you have sent forth, when it comes, can only, then, touch the great sphere of cosmic consciousness that emanates from the interior castle of your heart. And that sphere of light will transmute or repel, as the Law requires, all that is anti-light, anti-Christ.
And thus, it is not enough to thrust the sword of the Word, but you must also gather together the great spheres of your own being in that meditation which affirms God incarnate within you. And then that God incarnate will be the all-consuming conflagration, will be the manifestation of the judgment of those who refuse to come under the rod of Cosmic Christ Peace, of the Elohim Peace, of the Archangels of Peace, Uriel and Aurora, of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord Gautama, the Cosmic Christ and the millions of servants of peace.
O beloved ones, watch and pray. And forget not to commune with the inner Great God. Oh, the Great God who lives within you is your certain victory. To make that God and that Word most personal unto you, I have placed myself within that secret chamber.
Lo, I come, and I await your coming. As you prefer, in love, that one beloved within unto all others, unto all other distractions, entertainments and lesser loves, so wilt thou be found in the fullness of the victory of peace.

This dictation by Kuthumi was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Sunday, August 27, 1978, in Pasadena, California.
1. Saint Francis, c. 1181–1226, an embodiment of Kuthumi, was called by God in 1206 to repair the Church. While he was in prayer in the ruined chapel of San Damiano outside the gate of Assisi, he heard a voice from the crucifix above the altar command, “Go, Francis, and repair my house, which, as you see, is falling in ruins.” For two or three years, Francis dedicated himself to repairing the chapel of San Damiano and two other small churches. In 1209, with a band of eleven disciples, he officially began his Franciscan Order of Friars Minor (the “little brothers”) “to follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and to walk in his footsteps.”
2. Clare of Assisi, c.1194–1253, an embodiment of Elizabeth Prophet, was the cofounder with Saint Francis of the Order of the Poor Ladies, or Poor Clares. The eldest daughter in a wealthy, aristocratic family, she left her home at the age of 18 and joined Francis and the friars to live her life “after the manner of the holy Gospel.”

6. Mars is 36 million miles to more than 250 million miles from Earth depending on where both planets are in their respective orbits. The ascended masters teach that Mars in its true state is the planet that represents the Divine Mother and the base-of-the-spine chakra. The messenger has described Mars as “the white sphere of intense fiery energy of the Divine Mother.” But in past ages, the evolutions of Mars took that pure white light of the Mother and perverted it in war and mis-uses of the sacred fire. Using nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, Mars as well as Maldek, Hedron and Earth engaged in rival warfare.
7. The flaming sword in our nation’s capital refers to the Second Division Memorial, which was built in memory of those who died serving in the 2nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army during World War I. Created by James Earle Fraser, it is a sculpture of a hand holding an upright flaming sword.
