Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!
Excerpt from a dictation
given in Siskiyou, California, July 3, 1975
by Beloved Godfre through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet
Understand that many patriots in many nations have given their lives for that Mother flame and for that contact with light which they felt within their souls, which they would not surrender. And they declared even within their souls with that patriot Patrick Henry, “Give me liberty or give me death!” This is a liberty of soul. This is a liberty whereby you have the right to pursue your ascension, to pursue the calling and the election which is yours ordained. This is that liberty to invoke God as you see fit. It is that liberty to come together, to assemble, to speak freely, to worship, to have the Trinity of God within your heart....
The only way to defeat the forces of hatred, of greed and of war in whatever form they manifest in whatever society is by the flame of freedom. It is the flame, and only the flame, that will turn back greed in a capitalistic economy as well as in a communistic economy....
I plead, then, that you concern yourselves with the concerns of the hour and not with trivia and not with selfishness and the pursuit of vain pleasure. Many before you have sacrificed more for a lesser cause. What greater cause is there, I say, than the cause of freedom to a planet? That cause is threatened as never before, and that cause must be won as a spiritual victory first, and then all life will come into conformity and bow before the victors of the Spirit.
Therefore, conquer the self! Conquer the tyranny of the self! Conquer the flow of life! Learn the art of alchemy, not the art of war. Learn the art of freedom. Learn the art of flow of sacred fire. Be a patriot who enshrines the sacred fire in every heart, in every nation. Be one who accepts the calling of God to send forth light daily to all peoples everywhere yearning to be free.
