Lanello’s Ascension Day Address
The Office of the Messenger
Part 1
My brothers and sisters on the path, I bid you good evening and I welcome you to my fourth birthday as an Ascended Master. I am very new to these octaves of light, as you can imagine, for many who have gone before who have been for aeons in the Central Sun have stood as I came newly to join the ranks of those who are indeed the immortals.
The fourth year is the sealing of the cube, the white cube of an integration of light, sealed in my heart that I might seal it in your heart. I come, then, to offer upon the altar of life another year’s expansion as an Ascended Master, another ring of the tree; and in the garnering of that energy, I have more to give, more to be in your midst your Lanello.
To see the progress of the movement as we behold it at inner levels is to see the expansion, the unfoldment of hearts who are one. Indeed it is so; the foundation of the movement is the heart of each devotee. Beginning with the center and expanding, every devotee of the flame of Morya and Jesus and Saint Germain ought to consider how to expand the heart--the love fires of the heart, the wisdom of the heart, the good will of the heart.
Your hearts, breaking through the mass consciousness, will be the victory of America. Your hearts, one with mine, form the magnet with Jesus and Magda of our endeavor in the New Jerusalem. It is a challenge, but then you are a group, oh, a good group, who have borne over many centuries the challenges of every obstacle, every difficulty, every opponent and every foe in the way.
Your teeth were sharpened in the days of chivalry and the period of the Hundred Year’s War in Europe. And beyond, in China and through the ancient days, you have been developing that consummate skill to keep on, to thrust through and to thrust home to the core the very torch of victory.
We Secure Our Foundation in the New Jerusalem
What we are about, then, is the securing of our foundation in the New Jerusalem. This is the scaling of a fortress, the challenging of the very bulwarks of the sinister force of the planet that has come to usurp the place in the sun reserved for the Mother and the Buddha and the children of the One. [The sinister force] has come here to occupy the seat of authority, not in obedience to the word of Christ, “occupy till I come,” <1> but in the sense of being the counterfeiters of the conquest of the ages. Therefore, to make your way and to make your place in this city, you have first to unseat the interlopers who come as the hireling to displace the Good Shepherd; <2>and then you must build, rebuild, tear down and build again, for that which is not of the Holy Spirit must be removed and the new temple must be raised.
Above all, it is heart. The heart must be guarded; the heart must be infused with life and love—your heart, my heart, our hearts one heart with God. Only love will give you the deliverance of this city, your new headquarters, the saving of the soul of America.
Whatever love you expressed in the past, let it be multiplied fourfold by the shamrock of my fourth anniversary as an Ascended Master. Let that symbol of the shamrock be the threefold flame in green, in precipitation and in the joy of the coming of that one, Saint Patrick, who came to chase away the snakes of Ireland. So he comes to chase away the serpent consciousness that would take the place of the children of light. <3>
I Come to Be with You
I come to be with you. I come to sit with you awhile, to make myself at home, to hold in my arms those of you who did not know me while I was here and yet who have known me for aeons. All is according to plan, to the inner plan of life.
There is a marching of the sons and daughters of God to the pyramid for the great gathering in that four-sided monolith--the gathering of the sons and daughters of God to release the inner key out of the King’s Chamber, out of the Queen’s Chamber, out of the chamber of initiation that is at the etheric plane. And this marching is as the trek of pilgrims coming along a timeline for the mastery of space and the mastery of consciousness.
A New Cycle for the Messenger
Cycles have turned also for our own Elizabeth, myself here in form, whom many have not recognized as myself. Cycles have turned in opportunity, in expansion. She is called in this hour by the Darjeeling Council to do a special work for the Brotherhood. And so I bring to you the announcement that the former manifestation of your Messenger will not continue, for she will be closer to us and therefore closer to you in an inner sense and in the sense of your own soul’s mastery.
It is the very necessary and long overdue hour of her withdrawal into the white-fire core of the Ashram of the World Mother to set forth certain teachings for Saint Germain and for Lord Maitreya, to preserve the balance of forces for the city, for the nation and for the earth. You must understand that though the spirit is indeed willing, the flesh is limited and sometimes weak. <4> Therefore, to preserve the contact in form, we must conserve that contact in form.
We cannot, therefore, allow our Messenger, the remaining contact for this dispensation, to have her energies consumed in the endless interviews and problem-solving contacts with individual students and even individuals throughout the earth who depend upon her yet who would somehow find their own God Presence if she were not in this octave.
As an organization and as a body of chelas you must put yourselves in this frame of mind: What would we do if Mother were not here? How would we solve this problem? How would we do this work? How would we meet our own crises?
You will find, then, that less access to the Messenger will result in greater access to your I AM Presence, for it is true that when the Messenger is present the chelas rely more on the Messenger than on their inner God flame. You must see, as the years go by and the energies of the life of the Messenger are spent in service, that a moment comes when the choice must be made--to remain and serve or to ascend. That choice has been given once again to our Mother through the Ascended Master Godfre. Godfre has come, then, before the Mother to announce from the Darjeeling Council the call and the opportunity for the ascension. Your Mother and our Mother has said, “I will not go. I will tarry.” Therefore, from the Great Central Sun has come forth the dispensation for life, increased strength and the expansion of all the levels of heart energy, from the physical to the etheric octave, necessary for another round of this mission.
A Dispensation Has Been Completed
You must see that at the conclusion of these four years, a cycle has ended. There has been the fulfillment and the setting forth of a large body of teaching, not yet available to the masses, for they are not ready, but available for the initiates and the white-fire core students who will make their way to Summit University.
A certain dispensation, then, has been completed. And with the completion of this dispensation comes the oppor-tunity, which came also at the hour of Jesus’ ascension, for the transfer of the mantle of the Messenger to the apostles, to those who would receive their orders, run with the command and go forth with the Word.
It is the moment, by the multiplication of the sign of the four, of the expansion of the organization, of the adminis-tration and of the work of the apostles in the transfer of the flame. In recorded history, in the history of the coming of the avatars, this hour has often meant the transfer and the translation of the embodied representative to the octaves of light.
It shall not be so for you. It shall be that the transfer will be made and the Messenger will remain. But the Messenger who will remain will not be the Messenger you have known--a Messenger, the same one you call by name--but a translation and a transformation, a new life and a new purpose. It is as though the Messenger had ascended yet remained.
You see, then, you must also understand that with the increase of the increment of fire there comes a point when the majority among mankind cannot any longer understand or relate to the teacher. Therefore the teacher is removed into the white-fire core so that the ones closest to that teacher may impart the flame as step-down transformers in the order of Hierarchy.
The Hour Has Come to Transfer the Flame
I therefore release the command of the Darjeeling Council to the staff of The Summit Lighthouse, to the disciples and communicants of Church Universal and Triumphant, that the hour has come for you to preach the Word, endowed by the Holy Spirit, and to transfer to the multitudes the flame and the authority you have received.
You must go forth and you must not pass that torch to others who have come lately, who have not passed through the disciplines of our aura and our consciousness. You must look to yourself. You must see that there is that great demand of life for the coming into your being of the Holy Spirit so that you can speak spontaneously with joy and with the fulfillment of our message, so that you can arc the energies of our twin flames, the cloven tongues of fire, the gift of the Holy Spirit.
I speak, then, to those who are directly involved with the Messenger. Your first assignment is to train those who will fulfill your duties while you are out on the road speaking to the people, and above all, to the Keepers of the Flame who have not heard from or seen you.
Many of them have not had contact with you in many a year; they require your flame and they must see what the activity is all about. They must see the films and the multi-media presentations. They must have your personal love and your personal explanation.
You are the living Church, and the living Church expands by the walking Church, the marching Church, the talking Church. You must see that those who have the flame from their proximity to our office are the ones who are qualified to transfer it. All who have studied at Summit University have also had a saturation of our flame and you must be as the “other seventy.” <5>
You must go forth, not merely in your towns and in your communities but cross-country. You must secure your vehicles. You must pack your provisions. You must have with you the teachings and all the necessary tapes, including the tapes of the music, songs and decrees, for the transfer of this energy is upon us and I will be with you even as our Mother keeps the flame in the city.
Abortion Is Key to the Readjustment of Cycles
I will that she tarry in the city for the balance of elemental life. Elemental life has tried this week to respond to your calls for rain. You can see the great struggle of the elementals to bring forth the necessary precipitation, but they are unable to do so because of the human effluvia, the pollution, the density and the out-of-congruency of the consciousness of the people.
I tell you, then, that the greatest single factor opposing the readjustment of the cycles of the weather in this nation is, as Zadkiel has told you, the manifestation of abortion. I ask staff members to join with the students to put together all the comments of the Masters and the Messengers on abortion, to assemble them, to edit them and to determine their accuracy so that a book can be printed with this message.
Thus you will not be found wanting before the Lords of Karma and before the faces of the little ones who are passing from the screen of life daily. This book, thrust into the marts and marketplaces of the world, will be the foretaste of the rain that must surely come for the balance of the weather. This is the key to the readjustment of cycles.
The Transfer of the Holy Spirit
Concerning, then, the work of the Messenger and the work of the chelas, the Darjeeling Council has determined that the great transfer of light and of the Holy Spirit must come while the Messenger is in embodiment. We are concerned that there be no break in Hierarchy or in the generation of the Body of God.
There has been too much intrigue and opposition from the fallen ones through the centuries who have destroyed the teachings and the dispensations of the teachers; therefore the people do not have the true understanding of the Law or of the Self. Let continuity be our theme and let this continuity be love.
Let its theme be love. Let its energy be love, heart to heart. Let there be wisdom, then, in the preservation of this Body of God at the physical, emotional, mental and etheric levels. Let there be wisdom. Let there be foresight and let there be a listening to the Mother in the coming months, as she will unfold to you the requirements for the Holy Spirit’s habitation of your temple.
You must understand a point of the Law in the dispensation of the coming of the Messengers. Our Mother has explained to you that the Messenger is the gift of God to the people of the earth and all that will transpire around that Messenger and around that teaching is left, then, to those who form the hallowed circle.
I am here to tell you a fact that our Mother is well aware of. Her survival, her very survival these years, is due to your support and the support of all the Keepers of the Flame and lightbearers on earth of her lifestream and her carrying the weight of world karma. Now you have to take upon your shoulders the added responsibility of the organization, the administration and the dispensation of the teachings. This, too, will depend upon you.
