On the Mastery of the Nine O’Clock Line
Part 2
This is the continuation of our discussion of Mighty Victory’s dictation of December 29, 1974, and the students are asking questions about the dictation and the concepts it presented.
Student: Is the Spirit passive? Would the Buddha be considered passive?
Mother: Well, when you look at the Buddha in this plane, you see him seated in the lotus. Here in the Matter plane he looks passive.
Student: But you call it active in Spirit?
Mother: I don’t know that he’s sitting in that posture in Spirit, you see. His mode and posture here is contemplation. Shiva looks similarly passive in Matter and his consort, Kali, stands on his passive form. Shiva lies prone and she dances upon his chest to slay the demons. Therefore, he not only tames her but also gives her the energy to perform her work.
It appears that the active masculine becomes passive in Matter so that the Mother can fulfill her destiny. The question is, where is Father in Matter? We only know God the Father as energy in this plane, and because God is a Spirit we only see him in secondary form. So in that sense he is passive, yet the Mighty I AM Presence when we invoke it, is extremely active and is a great charge of energy.
Why Is Mighty Victory on the Nine O’Clock Line?
Student: What is it about the quality of victory that is so necessary for the balancing of the two opposites of the Holy Spirit? Why is Victory on the nine o’clock line?
Mother: Victory stands on the nine o’clock line because he is the master of balancing the masculine and feminine forces that are needed to precipitate the City Foursquare in the physical quadrant. His mastery is holding the Libra scales in balance and that is why he is victorious in Matter, in the physical plane, hence in all quadrants. I say in all quadrants because if you can make it in the physical plane you can make it in less dense spheres--that is if your victory is by the endowment of the flame and not by ill-gotten gain.
Victory is victory because these forces are in balance. You can call it wisdom and love and you can call it the polarities of God-Good, but it takes a great deal of Christ-discrimination to know what is real and what is unreal in this polarity. Most people think that unreality is the polarity of reality and they do not know how much about this plane is unreal.
They sit and look at television or get absorbed in the things that are happening and for them that’s reality. They don’t know there’s a reality that is beyond this little spectrum. The majority of people can’t even begin to gain the mastery of Alpha and Omega, the mastery of the polarities.
Student: Does one gain that mastery by learning how to utilize the energy of both Spirit and Matter?
Mother: That’s right. It’s the ultimate awareness that here and now I am a spiritual-material God free being. I am not going anywhere to get perfect, I am perfect here and now. I am an Ascended Master here and now, or you can also call yourself an unascended master.
This realization causes the total elimination of time and space because the perfect balance of polarities in the whirling action eliminates the polarities. You do not see polarities when you see a whirling sun, a whirling T’ai Chi, for there’s only one, not two. The mastery of duality means oneness--the Law of the One.
What Is the Meaning of the Tree of Good and Evil?
Student: Mother, if unreality is not the polarity of reality, what is the meaning of the Tree of Good and Evil?
Mother: The polarity of opposites in the human consciousness is like good and evil, with the understanding that good is relative good not absolute good. Relative good is in polarity with relative evil. To call it “good” is a misnomer because that good is not really God-Good and that’s why Jesus shunned it.
Student: The relative good and evil that we see in the human consciousness, would that be unreality?
Mother: Yes. It’s like all the people you’ve known in your life. They look like good people who do everything that everybody else does. They go to work. They live their lives. They enjoy things. They take vacations. Their kids are in school. They bring them up in a reasonable way and they’re the “good” people, the upright people in the community.
But when you start defining good as God and you become goal oriented, then you ask yourself, “Well, good for what?” They’re good for perpetuating human existence, good for perpetuating illusion. But how much Reality has ever penetrated the little wheel of existence that they call life. It seems such an inconsequential existence once you have the awakening.
Wake Up from Duality
We’re in the dictation now where Mighty Victory says: “Blaze forth! Blaze forth! Blaze forth and let the golden light as golden waves of peace encircle the planet as a swaddling garment of living flame. Let the fires of illumination come forth. I say, Awake, O mankind!”
Therefore, as soon as he finishes telling you about the balancing factors, he says, “Wake up!” In other words, wake up from the illusion of relative good and evil. When you are able to peer outside relative good and evil, you’ll just shrivel up if you have to go back to it. You can’t go back to that illusory world, as Gautama Buddha could not go back.
Mighty Victory continues, “Awake! awake! awake to your God-Reality, I say. Be that Reality.” People don’t understand what we are doing with our lives. The people we know and love are all living out their lives as we would have lived them if we hadn’t pierced through the veil. But they can’t yet understand the point of our existence, for when one pierces through the veil, one comes to another standard. So here is the close tie between Mighty Victory’s consciousness and Gautama’s.
People do good as they understand good. They bring about social change, work for good causes, and so forth. If they do not understand God as the source of Good, however, and give God the glory for their work and have him as the goal of their life, it’s a very limited cup, so limited that it remains in the spectrum of relative good and evil.
I think I’m going to write an article on the “Good Master Consciousness” because everybody thinks it’s all right to be a good master, or a good this or a good that. Jesus shunned it; he wasn’t interested in being addressed as “Good Master.”
Is Spirit in the Flow of Matter?
Student: Why do people think that Matter is solid and Spirit is something outside of it rather than in the flow?
Mother: They don’t see the flow; they don’t know that Spirit is in the here and now. The funniest thing of all is that people who don’t have the least bit of spirituality are often referred to as spiritual. They are usually mental but are called spiritual.
I have jokingly said that Summit University makes you a misfit. But, you see, the more illumination you have, the less you can pour your energy into the old molds of consciousness. It’s not for us to take the energy from the mount down to the level of the people but to be the magnet on the summit to magnetize souls of light up the mountain.
The funny thing about this trail to the summit is that you can’t, in honor, turn back. You have to be dishonest with yourself to turn back from this path, because Victory and his attainment are on the line of honor--the Holy Spirit, the nine o’clock line—and that’s what you would have to turn your back on. If you turn your back on it, you will not be able to master Matter by Spirit, although you may still have some mastery over Matter. You may still build your towers and amass your wealth, if you choose to.
The Quickening
Student: When we go back to the world, how do we explain Divine Reality to the human consciousness that is steeped in unreality?
Mother: That was the challenge of Gautama and Jesus and all the teachers who have ever walked the earth. In the final analysis, it comes by the conveyance of the flame, through a process that is called “the quickening.” You have to be able to give someone something from your heart that will raise his consciousness and enable him to perceive reality.
Therefore, true conversion is the conversion of Spirit. When we perceive reality in an Ascended Master dictation or by reading the Masters’ books, we’re perceiving it because an Ascended Master and our own God Presence is giving us a flame and a radiation that makes our consciousness go up at the moment we perceive reality.
Then, after going up in consciousness many hundreds and thousands of times, we are able finally to sustain our understanding of reality. First, it is moment by moment and then finally it becomes a steady stream of contact with reality. At that point we are ready for our ascension.
The only thing that stands between you and your ascension is the twenty-four-hour awareness of your Real Self. Every temptation, every trial, every test that comes to you is a test to get your attention off of your I AM Presence long enough to break the arc of contact. Sometimes the contact is broken for hours while you go around trying to solve the problem.
Every time we’re confronted by human energy, we should just remember to say quickly:
Mighty I AM Presence,
You take command of this entire situation,
I shall not be moved!
meaning I shall not be moved from my attention upon thee. Then, having given that fiat, we can go about attempting to work out the solution, for that fiat gives us the inner contact.
It is exciting to realize that if you can think about God for a second, you can think about him for two seconds. If you can think about him for two seconds, you can think about him for three seconds. So it’s a question of extending the length of the contact and you’ve only got twenty-four hours to fill.
Aren’t you glad you don’t live on a planet farther out?
Ruth Jones’ Ascension
Before she made her ascension, Ruth Jones was telling me in the hospital about how she left Virginia to come to the Summit Lighthouse. In previous years her minister had known that every once in a while she’d go to the place she called the “camp farthest out.”
The minister didn’t have any idea where she was going and nobody in her home town, where she was a Baptist Sunday school teacher, could ever figure out where Ruth Jones went. The one day the minister asked her again if she was going to the camp farthest out, and she said, “Nope, I’m going farther out.” She always thought that was so funny and she would chuckle over it in her little way.
It’s a funny thing because the people from her town and her family whom we heard from after her passing never did understand where she had gone or why. In the decade that she was with us, she simply left their plane of consciousness and went farther out.
I don’t remember whether we celebrated Ruth Jones’ ascension day this year, for hers was the first ascension of 1976, a very few days after the turn of the year. She did not make a physical ascension but she made her ascension immediately. We were all with her; our staff was with her twenty-four hours a day and, at the moment of her passing, there was such an intense light in her room that I had the entire staff and students of Summit University file through the nursing home to be in the presence of the ascension fire.
It was really a first for many people to come that close to an ascension and to be right in a room where, within minutes, an ascension had taken place.
Student: I don’t think anyone who was there could forget how beautiful the morning of the ascension service was. There was a fresh white snowfall with sunlight on it.
Mother: We saw Ruth ascending. We saw her energies ascending over the weeks that she was hospitalized. Every time we went to see her she would preach to us of God and tell us about God and about her life. She passed on of a malignant tumor of the brain, so as the tumor increased, she was less and less able to be coherent. Yet to her final words, she was preaching on God. She always said, “Love is the only way. Love is the key.”
Ruth had such a sense of obedience to Hierarchy that she absolutely would not let go of her physical body. I finally came to the realization that it was because she wanted me to release her--she was in my service and I had to release her in what I sensed was a formal ritual.
When I told her that Lanello had more important work for her to do and that I released her from my service, you could see her breathe a sigh of relief. She could now go in honor and in peace. I also told her that when she passed she would see Archangel Michael, Lanello and Mother Mary, and that Jesus and Michael were coming to cut her free.
I told her that Archangel Michael would put forth his hand and that she was to receive him, greet him and accept her liberation from her form. She took it all like a good student, listened to every word I said and then said, “Glory be.” You knew that she would do precisely as she was told.
In the hour of her passing, it happened as I had said. The Masters were standing there to receive her and they received her right into the ascension current. So right there in that room we greeted the Ascended Lady Master Ruth--right there with her form in front of us. And although her form was in a state of illness, there was an aura of light, a very intense aura of light around it.
To take the physical body with you, you have to balance one hundred percent of your karma. Ruth had celebrated her eightieth birthday and her Christ Self, in consultation with the Lords of Karma and the free will of the soul, determined the hour of the ascension.
If you see someone going through this type of terminal illness, you will notice that they become smaller and smaller and their energies appear to be going somewhere. A certain spiral sets in around the four lower bodies that is a cycling of energy back to the Source. Their energies are going back over this spiral to the white-fire core of being and a lot of energy passes to that fiery core before the moment of transition we call death.
Finally, at death, the threefold flame withdraws and all that remains is the shell that ought to be cremated. Then the physical fire assists the cells, atoms and molecules to release the energies of God that were encased in the Matter form. Around Ruth was a sacred fire, a real energy of the Holy Spirit that had enveloped her form for months before her passing. It was just like watching an ascension happen daily, right before your eyes.
In the case of people who are not devotees and who do not have the momentum of the ascension, that energy is cycling back to the white-fire core but it’s not cycling as for the ascension. They will reincarnate and will have to work out that same energy again, so it’s quite a different vibration from someone who is ascending. From the ascending one you feel the ascension current and the ascension spiral.
Student: Is it true what they say on the back of Autobiography of a Yogi about Yogananda’s body not decomposing?
Mother: As far as I know it’s true. I have no reason to question what is said.
Student: But he didn’t ascend, right?
Mother: No, he didn’t ascend because his role was to remain unascended for his further work as an unascended master.
My Sheep Know My Voice
In conjunction with the dispensation of Jesus’ coming and the stepping up of the Christ Self, Victory mentions that the Christ Self will become more real and more active in the lives of mankind, especially in those who respond to the call, the inner call of the Good Shepherd.
“My sheep know my voice. So shall mankind know the voice of Jesus and in his voice they shall hear the voice of the inner man of the heart.” This is a very interesting statement because it explains the law that Jesus himself unlocks our Christ Self. It takes the Ascended Master Guru, the Christed One, to connect us with our Christ Self, when that connection must come before we have transmuted enough of our human consciousness to make the contact on our own. That is the role of the Guru, and the quickening comes through him.
Victory also comes for another purpose and that is “to place the laurel wreath of victory upon the heads of the overcomers who are overcoming in all things, being tempted and tried yet still pressing on, dauntless, toward the victory.” I’m certain that you realize that the laurel wreath has a connection to your crown chakra or it would not be encircling the crown.
Actually, to be overcomers you have to have some awakening, some enlightenment, some quickening. Most people--not all but most--demand an explanation before they decide to be obedient to the laws of God. Now, the short-cut method is to be obedient now and ask questions later, and that’s how the greatest chelas have made the most progress with their guru.
We know the story of Fun Wey. He was an elemental who was taken on by Eriel of the Light, whose retreat is over Arizona, and because of his absolute obedience to Eriel, Fun Wey made his ascension very quickly. There have been other cases like this but most people are too stubborn. They wait until somebody gives them a good reason why they should be obedient to the inner voice and to the laws of God.
That’s the process in reverse order. We should have the flame of faith first and then our reward for faith is the hope that comes with illumination. Now, the distance between the point of obedience and faith to the point of being an overcomer is a number of footsteps down the path. But there’s an awful lot you can achieve through just plain, dogged determination in following the laws of God and following the Masters.
You will find after you’ve had that determination, that faith, that good will, that you will have a reward of intense enlightenment. With that enlightenment you are then able to face greater temptations and trials, but because people are generally unable to do this, I am saying that you have to have some crown attainment to be an overcomer.
I Claim My Victory Now!
Mighty Victory tells us that “there is no more urgent call than the call to claim your victory.” He wants you to say, “I claim my victory now!” This is a very important fiat for this quarter. “The only time that the forces of darkness and the heathen can take from you your victory is when you lose the sense of victory and when you fail to claim that victory.” They sound like simple little truths, don’t they? But they are the keys; they really are.
We learn in this dictation that there’s an angel of the triangle whom Victory calls to strike the triangle. He speaks of a victory on another world and another system of worlds. He speaks of the topaz of victory, which indicates that the topaz, a yellow stone, is a focal point of victory.
That’s how we learn things--by picking up these little comments that tell us that the topaz is a stone that focuses the point of victory and the point of wisdom. The topaz is the stone of Clara Louise Kieninger; it is the stone that is used for an initiation of Maitreya that you will receive in this quarter.
A Spiral of Victory
Victory brings up the sense of doom and failure again and he speaks about the “microbes that infest the mind and pervert the consciousness of victory through the sense of doom and failure.” The legions of Victory who come to tarry with earth will reinforce the spirals of illumined action. They seem to be a different group of angels from those who came to stand with every lifestream. Victory says, “These legions come fresh from the glory of that victory, which shall also manifest in Terra if you will but lift up your heads to receive the conquering heroes as they come.” He places within us the spiral of victory for the fulfillment of the organization of The Summit Lighthouse and adds, “Let the consciousness of God Reality be a crown upon your head for the fulfillment of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters.” If you’re sensitive, just by meditating on those words you can feel a ring of fire go around your head. It’s just an instantaneous contact of radiation.
He tells us to stand in the flaming presence of Reality and to claim that Reality so that we shall win. He asks us how we can fail to avail ourselves of the opportunity for the victory of a planet that will turn the tide and manifest the victory of this solar system. He invokes the law of our being and the light of our being and he says, “Let this law and let this light of your being come out and burn through all sense of injustice, records of death and doubt and fear, anxiety, frustration. Let them burn through and dissolve those energy forcefields that are not of this world, not of your God consciousness and have no part with the eternal sense of victory.”
Then he gives us a very important point in alchemy that Saint Germain teaches in his first book. “Defend the victory that is already won.” Saint Germain tells us that after we have had our alchemical matrix precipitated we must keep on decreeing for it. We must call for it to be sealed, to be anchored so that it cannot be challenged.
That’s very interesting, for if you look at the clock and you realize that your matrix becomes physical on the nine o’clock line you will see that you haven’t finished your physical mastery until you reach 11:59. Right at the point of the twelve o’clock line is when you seal your matrix.
Interestingly, Capricorn is an earth sign, anchoring the old cycle in the earth and starting the new cycle of the crown chakra. It is a very powerful sign for the beginning and ending of cycles. - So you can imagine that to defend the victory that is already won is to carry it through from the point of the nine o’clock line to the twelve, and to protect it from the lashback of the dragon’s tail that would dash the cup from your lips before that twelve o’clock hour.
Now we will turn to the next dictation.
“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”
