Mighty Victory on the Four Lower Bodies and the Threefold Flame
Part 2
We are continuing to study Mighty Victory’s July 7, 1968 dictation, picking up where we left off, at the conclusion of the discussion on how to put on our God identity.
Today Mighty Victory wants us to accept his flame into our feeling world. He says, “Will you accept the thought that there is only a very thin veil between reality and man’s illusions? Why not, then, either unzip the zipper or cut it asunder. Do something with it. Don’t let it hinder you from realizing your God potential.”
It sounds like this zipper is a zipper on our entire human consciousness and he says we should get rid of it. Get rid of all that’s preventing us from releasing the contents of our four lower bodies into the flame to make way for the coming of Mighty Victory.
Mighty Victory’s flame is a powerful Niagara of golden light, a golden waterfall of light. When it enters the cup of your consciousness it can literally flush out everything there. It’s just like holding a cup under the faucet when the water is falling too hard. The water leaps right out again and takes out everything with it. It will even take the cup right out of your hand.
Victory talks about the strangeness of the Ascended Masters releasing their words, thoughts, feelings and love. But he points out that people who pass through the change called death have experienced many strange adventures that they would not have believed were possible when they were here.
Really, what he is telling us in a kind of a tongue-in-cheek way is not to wait until we make the transition to start believing in the Masters’ manifestations. We will believe in them then because we will have very unusual experiences, but this is the time to accept them and find them perfectly natural.
Mighty Victory wants to have the understanding of universal love from the heart of our Presence flow into us. He wants us to keep on going back to love and the understanding of love and the feeling of love. He wants us to “feel the mantle of God wrapped around our shoulders and his love pulsing forth within the flame in our hearts. If you do this, you will make it easy for the ascended hosts.”
Now I don’t know whether you really pause in your day, but there should be moments before you leave your body at night when you feel God, when you sense the glow of his love and you begin to feel it. What triggers feeling? How do you suddenly start feeling love?
It’s a cup in the consciousness, a thoughtform. Think of Mother Mary or the Masters and think of your attunement with them through the dictations. If you think of their love for us, your thoughts prime the pump of your feelings and your feelings will follow the matrix you produce out of your etheric body and out of your mind.
Some people get so used to dealing with mental concepts that they rarely feel; they rarely fill the cup of a mental concept with a feeling. These are the people I would term intellectuals, because their satisfaction with a concept or an event is simply in the mental body. They don’t carry it down into their feeling world or experience a sense of real joy, a sense of fulfillment in the Holy Spirit.
Throughout the world we have two types of people. Some are mentally stimulated and some are emotionally stimulated and this is a stimulation of their lower bodies, their lower mental body and their emotional body. You find that these people tend to separate out in society, in our churches, in education.
You find people who go to church for the feeling sense of God. They tend to have a lot of music, and a lot of it is modern music these days. Then you have those who go to church to be mentally stimulated because stimulation of the mind is all they want. But if you can experience a fusion of God’s mind and God’s desire body, you can really experience God in the totality of your consciousness.
The etheric body and the physical body are simply the starting point and the conclusion, for the etheric body is the origin of the blueprint and the physical body is the ultimate manifestation of that blueprint, so the thoughts and the feelings are the real governors. If you can let your thoughts be exalted because they are the Mind of God, and your feelings be exalted because they are the desires of God, you will weave a figure-eight pattern between the mental and the feeling bodies, which is exactly what mankind needs for the victory.
The Difference between the Holy Spirit and Human Emotion
Now you may believe this, so I won’t say, “believe it or not,” but to me it’s a believe-it-or-not situation. People will come to a dictation like Mighty Victory’s or to a lecture that Mark or I may be giving and afterwards they will remark how emotional we are, as if the intensity of the energy of Mighty Victory could be construed as human emotion.
Their idea of emotionalism is that somebody talks loudly or gets excited, and I find when I attend seminars that most people get up and dryly repeat what they know. Some of our speakers did this at the Energy Is God conference and they just talked and talked and talked in a monotone. Sometimes they tell cute little jokes in the middle of it all and you can titter over them, but these jokes have nothing to do with the release of the joy of God.
You get so bored, finally, in the presence of a thimble-mind with no grasp of the mind of God that you really can’t bear it any longer. You can’t hold your God Presence to such a finite cup. I felt that it was important for us to listen to these speakers to find out what they thought and what was going on in the world, but at a certain point in Dr. Brown’s speech, I could feel Mark’s presence.
I doubt very much that Mark would have been able to sit through these talks, because Mark had no patience for the puny mind that could deal with these concepts. He would have gotten up, walked around and sat back down again; he simply would not have been able to sit still. Well, what he did during Dr. Brown’s talk was to go behind the stage and trigger the slide, letting the circle and sword of Astrea come down in the middle of the talk!
Our people in the slide department said that they would never have let that happen. I mean, they knew where that slide was and they knew that there was no possibility of it coming down in the middle of a talk. [laughter] But down it came and it released the joy of Mighty Victory into the group, and I just don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t had that joy in the middle of it all, for it was getting quite tedious.
Well, the tediousness of the carnal mind without the mind of God is something that we’re facing today, and we’re facing it on a large scale. It’s like a dragon that drives lightbearers out of our educational institutions because the cup of their consciousness is not suited to a tedious intellectual offering. It takes the real discipline of a disciple to get through this type of program.
Let’s consider this business of emotionalism. I can remember when I was speaking on the Buddha in Virginia Beach. The really intense fire of the Masters was upon me and my voice was definitely not a monotone. Two boys who left the lecture remarked that I sounded like a fundamentalist preacher, which I thought was really amazing because they confused the joy, the intensity, the radiation and the power of God with emotionalism.
So I trust that before you leave this quarter, you will be able to go out into the world and detect the difference. It is very important to do so.
An Experience at a Foursquare Gospel Church
If you go into churches that stress the Holy Spirit, you will see people becoming very emotional. They cry, weep, fall down on their knees and pray to Jesus in a very emotional way. Their feelings are not under control and are contaminated, and you wonder what the contamination is.
It is the people’s lack of control of their desire bodies. They polarize emotionally, for they are supposed to be focusing God as feeling. They are the angelic types, the sixth-root-race types, but they don’t have mastery over the flow of energy. When they approach God in their emotional body, they are filled with entities, and through them their entities start wailing, crying out the name of Jesus, and you get a very impure stream.
One of our Summit University students, who later became a staff member, attended a fundamentalist meeting out of curiosity. He said, when he came to me after the quarter, that he had wrestled for weeks with the discarnates that came upon him in the church and he could not get rid of them. Then, some months later, he visited me in Colorado Springs and asked, “Will you please help me? Since I went to the meeting, I have a terrible energy in my third eye.” The preacher he had gone to had been giving a course on getting the Holy Spirit.
I agreed to work with him and it was a very interesting experience because I had just taken a group of students on a field trip to a Foursquare Gospel Church. When we arrived in the church, people were in the process of speaking in tongues and receiving, supposedly, the Holy Spirit, and I had the same experience as my student.
When I first went into the church, I made calls for the hosts of light to take command, but the place was literally teeming with discarnates and evidently I did not call forth enough protection. Therefore, when I went home, I wrestled the entire night with the demons that had followed me right out of the church.
These demons were saying, “How dare you come into our forcefield and challenge our light.” And before I was through, I found myself challenging every demon that had invaded every church in America! Finally, by morning I felt I had made sufficient calls.
I think what had happened was that in our desire to be very friendly, we had formed a circle after the church service and had prayed with the people there. And before I realized what was happening, the preacher came up to me and put his thumb on my third eye. It happened so quickly, you know. It was over before I knew it, but in that physical contact I felt contaminated substance leap from his forcefield to mine.
I am very glad in the end that I had the experience so that I could tell you about it. Personally, I would not have believed it to be true, for I have always had the rosy type of consciousness that perceived everybody as good, everybody as wonderful, and I thought that everybody in church had God. So I started to realize that when people are ambitious for God, they don’t get God.
Instead of getting the Deity, they get demons--manifestations that are the perversion of God. Interestingly enough, this particular preacher certainly had a lot of energy around him. If you didn’t know the difference between real light and misqualified light, you might have thought that this man had a lot of light.
He told us a story, however, about how his wife had supposedly received the gift of the Holy Spirit and he had not. This disturbed him greatly and he kept on praying to God and demanding that God give him the same gift. Well, the problem was that he was really impure in his consciousness; he was competing with his wife and kept on demanding and demanding the gift when his vessels, his four lower bodies, were not clear.
So the call compels the answer but the answer comes to you at the level at which you send it forth. If you send forth jealousy, envy, competition, that’s the spirit that returns to you. This preacher made demands of the great law without going through the Mediator of the Christ. He demanded energy and received a type of impure energy,
Lady Master Magda has commented on the invasion of the churches today by discarnates and demons and the same was true in Jesus’ time; through the people, they cried out his name in the churches. So the Holy Spirit energy that Mighty Victory is speaking about and the flushing out of the four lower bodies is terribly, terribly important.
Every now and then, here in Los Angeles, I meet with devotees of this or that organization, this or that teacher, and I find that they have sincere love in their hearts. One can see that they have been meditating and that they have a measure of communion with the inner light, but they have a great, great need for the violet flame and the simple teaching of their God Presence.
If they could just use the violet flame and make calls to Astrea to get rid of the impurities in the stream, then their meditation would show as light in their faces. So I’m counting on you to be the example, and as you can hear in this dictation, so is Mighty Victory.
Take a Step: Do Something Physical
Mighty Victory is talking now about mastery over our bodies, how it is fine to have chiropractors but not to make them a crutch. There’s no reason why you can’t tell your body to behave and come into alignment and you ought to start doing so, for sometimes I think we get too dependent upon our doctors, our chiropractors and such.
To become dependent upon anyone is to put the responsibility for one’s care outside of oneself, thinking that someone else is indispensable, to the extent that we feel we can’t go on if we don’t have a treatment. It’s unfair to the chiropractor and unfair to you.
Mighty Victory turns to the physical body here when he says that individuals can say to the muscle in their big toe, “Relax” and it will do so. He has told us in the past--and this is another point he wants me to make this morning—that you have the choice to take the step or not to take the step. When it is time to be victorious, you can take the step or not take the step, in other words, do something physical.
If you’re in the wrong place, remove yourself. Get out. Run away. The decision whether or not to smoke marijuana may simply be the decision to leave the people who smoke. Remove yourself from proximity to temptation. The decision to study or not to study might be made by taking a cold shower to get you wide-awake, and then sit down, open a book and start to read. Sometimes we let these things get into our mental or our feeling world and we become stupefied--we don’t move, we don’t take action.
When some kind of slothful energy threatens to make you immobile, take physical action. In other words, start doing something, for taking positive action releases a positive spiral of energy. On a day when you have something difficult to do, the first point of victory over that something may be leaping out of bed in the morning, pounding your fist and roaring like a lion. And we all have to roar now.
[Messenger and students roar like a lion.]
The negative spiral of your day may very well begin when you decide you’re just not going to do anything. So you pull the covers up over your head and go back to sleep. Pretty soon you’ve missed your spiral.
Here’s a fiat:
I will not accept this shroud over my identity!
I AM a son of God!
I AM following the footsteps of the Master!
And behold, the Master is my example!
Victory is making the very point that you need to do something. You follow the footsteps of the Master, and behold, the Master is your example!
I will do as he did!
I will believe as he believed!
I will act as he acted!
I will feel as he felt!
Bring Your Mastery into the Physical
Victory talks about summoning the strength to do physical work. It’s a funny thing. I was about thirteen or fourteen and I had to get a chest of drawers up to the attic. I was living in a hundred-year-old house where the stairs were very steep and the ceilings very high, and I said to myself, “How am I going to get this chest of drawers up to the attic?”
Well, I decided God was going to carry it since I couldn’t, and I determined in my consciousness that God was going to carry this chest of drawers all the way to the attic. I put myself under the chest and just kept saying, “God, you’re carrying this up to the attic.” Then I carried it up.
I carried the whole chest of drawers up the steep and narrow set of stairs and I was absolutely determined, you know, that nothing was going to cross my path and that there was nothing that God could not do. Then I started doing this with the little practical things around me.
I had no knowledge of the Ascended Masters at that time, except on the inner. I had never heard of my I AM Presence, but I knew God intimately and on the inner, of course, I knew the Masters. But it’s interesting how making the law work in little ways gives you a sense of mastery.
When I got about half way up the stairs, it was just as though a Divine Presence had picked up the chest and carried it. I think Victory is concerned that we bring our mastery to the physical level in all ways, down to the very last detail.
Acceptance Is the Key
Mighty Victory is talking about the feeling that the whole universe is against you, about the mind deciding that “life is full of death and sickness and disturbing outer conditions.” All through the dictation, he is showing us what the programming of our four lower bodies does to our sense of victory. Your mind tells you life is full of death and sickness and you accept it. Acceptance is the key. What are you going to accept?
When he adds, “Almighty God does not care for or have any concern for the soul,” he is pointing to the cynicism of the analytical mind. As far as I can see, the current analysis of what’s going on in the world and the attitude toward the energy crisis is the same death consciousness.
Some of our people in the AV department went to see a multimedia show put on by Campus Crusade for Christ. Their comment was that the entire thing attempted to show that the world was coming to an end. It showed death, disease and dying, programmed on five large screens. The idea was that if the earth were a giant balloon filled with oil, we would run out of oil in a hundred years.
The conclusion of this message is, I suppose, that the only solution is conversion to Christ. But it’s a very negative way of getting there; it leaves God out of his universe and God out of the bowl, so it’s really a very perverted Christianity.
Our team came away feeling that there was no life in the meeting, no Holy Spirit, and that the people weren’t really joining in. They kept on saying a rhythmic little chant that went, “Praise Jesus. Praise Jesus,” but there was no sense of immanence, and as a result, the whole thing was just a show.
We know someone who helped to put the show together and he mentioned that they had staged a conversion there. In other words, instead of filming a real conversion, they had shown somebody come up out of the audience and pretend to be converted. Their approach seemed to be that if one put on a big enough show with as many screens and microphones and speakers as possible, people would be converted to Christ.
It reflects the idea that you can get to God through the perverted feeling body and the perverted mental body. You can’t. Flesh and blood cannot get to the kingdom, or the consciousness, of God. We have to put off the old man, put on the new, get the mind of God and get the desire body of God.
The Doomsday Consciousness
Millions of dollars were spent on this thing and it’s going to tour the nation. Our people felt that it was a perversion of our conference Energy Is God, for it presented the doomsday consciousness that the whole world was going down the drain and we might as well let it go. Our only hope was in Jesus, who was coming to save us. So all we had to do was to paint a bleak picture of the world to convert souls.
Well, that’s not the consciousness of Victory and it drives people who have a real understanding of God from the churches. Maybe that’s a good thing, since there’s an alternative outside the churches, but I personally don’t like to see the churches crumble. I’d like to see them infused with new life and with the right teaching. However, you can’t mix the Masters’ teaching with that kind of consciousness.
I’ll tell you what perpetuates it, their discarnates, their entities. How many of you know what an entity is, now that you’ve been through those tapes? I mean, do you sense in your feeling world that something not yourself is no longer with you? How many have the mental awareness that something left you? Mentally, you see, the discarnates invade the mind and they give you a consciousness that is entirely foreign to reality.
Victory says, “Nothing could be further from the truth,” concerning this doomsday consciousness. I want you to write down that term, doomsday consciousness. It’s a terrible consciousness and it has invaded our churches. Did you realize that it has invaded our churches? It has to be shattered and shaken, really, by this action of the flame of Mighty Victory. These people are in a state of self-hypnosis, and we have to go in and crack those shells.
As Victory says: “The uncompromising light of God, the light that never fails, is waiting to be called into action to assist you to your victory…. What a boon it would be if one could just quiet the thoughts of the mortal self.” You see, quieting the stream of the yellow ray and of mortal thoughts has come to us from the East in forms of meditation. We can learn a form of concentration where we do not think about the disquieting aspects of mortal thought and feeling.
“But this is quite difficult, you say. And so it is because you think it is; and, of course, it follows your thought and becomes more difficult by the moment as long as you sustain the thought.” Victory talks then about the demons of mortal thought and feeling being vanquished over the hill. You can imagine them crawling over the hill at dawn--the dawn of your own consciousness.
Expect the Trial by Fire
Mighty Victory says: “You cannot expect now or at any time not to be tried by fire.” This statement introduces his next comments on the physical body and I think he means here that you should expect to be tried physically, not necessarily in your body but in your environment. People have actually had their houses burn down in the trial by fire or have lost fortunes or have endured all the trials of Job.
He says: “We have won our victory in the face of all sorts of outer conditions.” And the records show that many of the conditions then were far worse than they are today. When you are on the path and you also have to look for water or cross a desert or live in threadbare garments, it can add to the forces of resistance, resentment, doubt and fear.
We encountered this in our travels throughout the world. It was a major test to be on top of our physical needs when traveling, because conditions are not as they are in the United States. Just getting pure water often became a major problem of the day--finding drinking water or finding proper food, and you find that it takes a lot of mastery to keep fighting the battle on the astral, mental and etheric planes at the same time.
“Your garments are threadbare and you cannot find a sou to pay for new ones. You find that you are accused of a crime you did not commit and you have no funds to pay for protection.” He talks about terrible conditions, transportation that was dependent on animal life and no way to decrease pain before the advancement of medical science.
It is important to stop for a moment and think of these things. It’s even a good idea to experience them, because when you do, you realize that if we don’t make it in this life and civilization is reduced to a primitive level, we will spend many, many, many incarnations just mastering the physical plane, just figuring out how to keep warm in winter, how to protect ourselves from wild beasts, and so forth.
For thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of years, we’ve been arriving at the point where we could take care of the physical body with the least amount of fuss so that we could make our ascension. And it has been by dispensations of the Lords of Karma that this has come about--all the way from the first use of fire and the wheel to the present.
The Masters tell us that all the conveniences of civilization are intended to facilitate our mastery. They are not for our indulgence, and they’re not to perpetuate the status quo. When you look at our buildings and our science and our lifestyle, you know that with one descent of the hand of God, civilization as we know it could be gone and we’d be figuring out how to plow the land, where to get the seeds, and so forth.
So we have to realize that we have reached a peak of civilization for a purpose. Our purpose is to ascend and we need every spare minute we have to achieve it. So Mighty Victory doesn’t want us to take for granted what the victorious ones have given us as a foundation. “The Gods look down upon mankind, the immortal presences of all life and say, “When will you find your freedom and your victory? When will you accept it? When will you be free?”
