Accelerating the Quality of Your Heart
The Thoughtform of the Year

Good afternoon, beloved chelas of my heart. Welcome to New York. (Won’t you be seated.)

I have brought this ruby heart for you to have as a focus and I hope you receive it as having been sent to your heart from the hosts of the Lord. I’m going to leave it on my lectern so it will keep reminding you that the threefold flame must be balanced, and by the power of the three-times-three we win. Remember that seeing something tangible like this heart helps you to precipitate what you want to have come true.

I always welcome the opportunity to speak to you on Valentine’s Day weekend because I like to contemplate with you that intangible, mysterious, yet ultimately essential quality of love.

So let’s start with a song-- number 220, “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go.”

[Song 220, “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go,” sung once.]

Accelerate the Quality of the Heart

This year we are all working hard to balance our karma, to balance it in the equilateral triangle of our being, to connect with Saint Germain and all the hosts of the Lord so that we might give them their due. That is our greatest desire.    So we give our calls to the violet flame. We give our calls to beloved Saint Germain. Yet there is another component that we must not leave out as we continue our spiritual work this year and that is the acceleration of the quality of the heart. This is what Gautama Buddha was talking about when he gave us the thoughtform for the year 1999. Remember, the thoughtform for the year is our spiritual focus for the year.

Gautama said: “The thoughtform for the year 1999...is yet again the power of the three-times-three and the raising up of your heart and the hearts of all lightbearers of the world in the manifestation of that which Mighty Victory has carried so many, many years. And you may carry it now.”

The Power of the Three-Times-Three

The Ascended Masters have spoken many times about the power of the three-times-three and why it is so essential. On February 14, 1988, Mother Mary said:

The cycles are turning and the decade of the nineties does portend for all the initiation of the three-times-three whereby the threefold flame of the Presence, the threefold flame of the Holy Christ Self and the threefold flame upon the altar of your heart must come into alignment by balance.

By the power of this three times the three of their union, you, then, can manifest the Power, Wisdom and Love fused in the identity of the Mother within you to meet every challenge, to walk as initiates of the elements and the suns.

Know, then, that without balance and without preparation for the initiation of that decade, many will be tossed and tumbled and lose their grip on life in this octave. Hold fast what thou hast received. It is the calling of Keepers of the Flame. <1>

On July 2, 1988, Serapis Bey said: “For the record, I say it again, the decade of the 1990s will find you being challenged to prove your mastery by the power of the three-times-three—the balanced threefold flame of I AM Presence, of Holy Christ Self and of your own heart flame. Let the heart meditations of Saint Germain be followed to that purpose.” <2>

Then in 1994 the Maha Chohan told us: “Love is the key. Whatever else you may develop and acquire in this or a thousand lifetimes, without love—without love in the manifestation of the power of the three-times-three and the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit—you will not fulfill your mission.         “Therefore, beloved, be generous with love. Give love daily. And daily call on the law of forgiveness for having withheld love in the forgotten past.” <3>  To the one to the right, to the one to the left, before and behind, let love so saturate your garment. Let it be.

The Power of Mighty Victory

Now, the thoughtform for this year announced by Gautama Buddha has two components to it: the power of the three-times-three and the power of Mighty Victory.

Gautama Buddha said in that dictation: “Blessed ones, you do not know nor can you understand the tremendous power of Mighty Victory to change the world and to change you.”

Apropos this, I want to remind you that in 1987 Mighty Victory said to us: “Receive me to your heart. For I, Victory, encapsulate my Electronic Presence to a very small height that I might abide with you as the impetus to the balance of your threefold flame. Just call to me and say, ‘Victory’s impetus is mine this day for Power, Wisdom and Love in balance.’” <4>

So I suggest we take Mighty Victory up on his promise and use that mantra as we work on balancing our threefold flames. Let’s say it now together, three times, with gusto:

Victory’s impetus is mine this day for Power, Wisdom and Love in balance!

Victory’s impetus is mine this day for Power, Wisdom and Love in balance!

Victory’s impetus is mine this day for Power, Wisdom and Love in balance!

I tell you there is nothing more powerful than a balanced threefold flame springing from the white fount of the Divine Mother. What you have to remember is that when the flames of love, wisdom and power are balanced within you, not only do you have the power of the three flames but you also  have the exponential power of the three-times-three, which is nine. And the power of the nine is nothing less than invincible. So, as the Maha Chohan said, it all boils down to this: “Without love in the manifestation of the three-times-three,...you will not fulfill your mission.”

Love Is the Fulfilling of the Law

The apostle Paul wrote: “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.… Therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.” <5>

Love is indeed the fulfilling of the law. If we don’t do everything we do with love, our actions have no meaning. They have no promise. They have no healing properties. They have no joy. For love is the great healer, and you can be great healers when you have great love. When you open your heart, God can step through, and the hosts of the Lord can step through. And through you, they can heal many, many people.

The Arrow of Love

This is not just a platitude. It is an initiation. The great mystics of all time talk about this initiation in terms of the arrow of love. Kahlil Gibran wrote: “When love beckons to you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you, yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.” <6>

When Cupid’s arrow comes to you, what do you do? When El Morya or Mother Mary, Gautama Buddha or Kuan Yin comes knocking at the door of your heart, what do you do? When—in the guise of a finicky friend or a complaining child or an ailing parent—one of the Masters comes knocking at the door of your heart, what do you do?

Do you look through the peephole before you decide whether or not you will open the door? Do you say, “Not now, I’m busy. I’m not ready. I’ve got too much happening. Have you tried next door yet?” Or do you fling wide the doors, and let yourself be wounded by the arrows of love? Only when you open those doors do you stand a chance of finding what you’re really looking for in life which, when you get right down to it, is a love tryst with the divine.

The Love Initiations of the Christian Mystics

The Christian mystics talk about spiritual union and the love initiations that accompany it. Thérèse of Lisieux said that from the age of fourteen she experienced “assaults of love” that consumed her “like a veritable flame.” <7> “I was in the choir,” she once wrote, “when I felt myself suddenly wounded by a dart of fire so ardent that I thought I should die....There is no comparison to describe the intensity of that flame. It seemed as though an invisible force plunged me wholly into fire....But oh! what fire! what sweetness!” <8> So enflamed was she by a love that is beyond this world that she wrote in her autobiography, “O Jesus, my vocation is found at last—my vocation is love. <9>

One of the most famous encounters recorded in mystical literature is the ecstasy of another Teresa—Teresa of Avila. In a vision, the Lord showed Teresa a small angel holding a large golden heart tipped with fire.

She wrote: “It seemed to me this angel plunged the dart several times into my heart. When he drew the dart out, I thought he was carrying off with him the deepest part of me; and he left me all on fire with a great love of God.” <10>

Jesus told Catherine of Genoa that “these flaming darts of an irresistible love are like waves of fire. They flow from My breast,” Jesus said, “and communicate such ardor and interior power to man that he can now do nothing else but love, remaining inseparably united with his God.” <11>

Unable to adequately express the overwhelming love she felt for God, Catherine of Genoa simply said, “If one drop of that love which my heart feels... were to fall into Hell, Hell itself would altogether turn into eternal life.” <12>

Isn’t this the love we all seek? The love that will heal. The love that with one single drop will transform someone’s world. Just think what we could do if we had that kind of love! But in order to have that kind of love, we need to open our hearts—all the way. And as we know, it is not always easy to do that. Because of the wounds of the past, we close up when loving gets too painful. We sometimes have to contact deep levels of hurt in order to resolve the painful record and move on.

Nada’s Way of Love

Lady Master Nada has given us important insights on why it can be hard to get beyond the pain. She says: “The true path of Love is one that does bring the greatest challenges; for pain on the path of Love is many times unbearable.” She says this pain sometimes goes back to our original separation from our twin flame—the soul who is our divine counterpart, our “other half.”  In 1989 Nada said:

I come to set you back on course that you might begin at the beginning and remember your vows before the altar of the Great Central Sun, shared between twin flames. You vowed to go forth and forevermore to be one.

But when the Path became painful you sometimes accepted lesser loves as comfort, as salve for the wounded ego. And therefore, in so self-indulging, you lost the touch of the fingertips of the beloved and could not find them again no matter how you groped in the dark of the surrounding karma that did come with nightfall.

Do you understand, beloved, that the greatest lesson your soul can learn is that Love is the All, Love is the Goal?—and to stop a moment and know just how great is the love of your Father-Mother God for you? Most have come to the place of insensitivity to that Love or a sense that they are not worthy of love. And by an absence of self-worth they tune it out…. It is the tuning out of those things that are so precious and so beautiful, because one deems oneself unclean, unready….

Do not fear to experience pain. Allow yourself to experience it, to neutralize it perhaps with the exercise of the sacred fire breath, but not to escape it. <13>

The sacred fire breath Nada is referring to is Djwal Kul’s breathing exercise, which he gives in The Human Aura book and which is printed as decree 40.09.

If we open to these past experiences, with the help of the Masters we can let go of them and move on. And what a shout of hallelujah we may give when we realize that we can get past these burdens and negative experiences. Of course, there are times when your spiritual work must be accompanied by work with a trained psychologist who can help you sort out the issues and complications that may have resulted from these experiences. Nevertheless, if we trust in God we can make tremendous progress through these teachings of the Masters.

Let’s stand now and sing  song 221, “The Arrow and the Song.”
