The Power of the Prayer Chalice
Dear Staff and Mother,
Wonderful things have been happening since I began to study with the Ascended Masters through the Keepers of the Flame Lessons, and I want to share some of my experiences with you.
I have been a Keeper of the Flame for a year now, and I must say it has been the best year of my life! Not because of any financial or material gains but because of the joy I feel—and the release of that black cloud I was carrying around with me!
As soon as I had my first lesson and began to say “The Keeper’s Daily Prayer” I began to feel a release of that pressure which I know now was sin and human discord. The release intensified as I learned the decrees and received the decree book and began to invoke the violet flame.
My husband has decided not to become a Keeper of the Flame, but a wonderful thing has happened. For some twenty years he has been a tobacco smoker, smoking at least two or three packs a day. He always said that he would never stop smoking because he was certain that it was not possible. He was sure he was addicted for life. He has always accepted that there are Ascended Masters and he knows that he has lived before, but he doesn’t have time, he says, for decrees and services.
I wanted to do something to help him and so I called The Summit Lighthouse and asked that his name be placed in the prayer chalice. For whatever reason, he just decided one day to stop smoking—and he stopped cold turkey! I had been so accustomed to his smoking habit that I did not notice! Finally on the third day, he mentioned to me that he had indeed stopped. He has not even wanted a cigarette since then, which was several months ago. Thank you, God! Thank you, Ascended Masters! Thank you, Mother! Thank you, Summit Lighthouse!
I know that God has other wonderful things waiting for me. I live in California, and at the beginning of the recent earthquakes I held up rather well. But after I had endured three days of shaking, a new tremor gripped the apartment building and rattled my peace! El Morya tells us that when we have lost our peace, we have lost everything.
I once again called The Summit Lighthouse in Montana. The minister I spoke with said that we needed to be strong and to hold the balance. She also said that there were other Keepers of the Flame in California and that I was not alone. This helped me a tremendous amount! Then she said that she would place my name in the prayer chalice. Immediately I felt a great peace descend, and it has been with me through all of my experiences and my decree sessions in the three days since.
Words cannot express the joy and gratitude I feel for all that has been given to me. Thank you! Thank you, Mother, for keeping the flame for us! I AM loving all of you there and send you all of my Love.

My Tithe Was Returned in Much Abundance
Dear Mother,
Enclosed is my tithe of 5 percent, which I committed to every month. I’d like to say that my November tithe was returned in much abundance. I wrote last time that I am a single mother and self-employed. December is the worst month of my business and things were very tight, but my experience was this: My ex-husband, who I seldom hear from and who very seldom has seen fit to send money for the care of his son, not only sent $400 but also sent a short letter to both my son and me that would have been enough alone.
I truly believe that God has moved his heart in a way that has changed his mind-set and hopefully will continue to do so. Two years ago I had sent him a letter releasing him and asking his forgiveness for any bad karma I may have created with him while we were married so many years ago. I sent my best wishes to him and his new wife in their life together. I have always wondered when he would want to release and forgive his son and myself. I believe this is the beginning for him. This was a very welcome Christmas gift.
