Celebrating the Sangha and the Can-Do Spirit!
by Rev. Jaspal Soni and Rev. Lois Drake
India, the largest democracy in the world, celebrated her 73rd Independence Day last month on August 15. It was on this day in the year 1947 when India finally attained independence from the British after being under their rule for 200 years. Independence Day is observed throughout India with flag-hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events. It is a national holiday. In Delhi, the Indian Prime Minister attends the flag-hoisting ceremony and also addresses the nation at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Cultural programs and events are held at both the state and national levels.
As you know, the United States, the oldest democracy in the world, celebrates Independence Day on July 4. This year marked the 243rd anniversary of the publication of the Declaration of Independence from the Great Britain in 1776. Like India, the US celebrates Independence Day as a public holiday with the patriotic displays and family events you are familiar with: fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, and family reunions.
These are the only two nations that the ascended masters have revealed to us as being twin flame nations. One, they have told us—the USA—is an example of freedom and honor, and the other—India—is the seat of ancient spiritual wisdom and knowledge.
Beloved Chananda, the Head of the Indian Council of the Great White Brotherhood, in a landmark dictation in 1975, gave a glimpse of the destiny of India. During the dictation, he invited the student body to accompany him in their finer bodies to his retreat in India, the Palace of Light. He said, “I bring you here that you might study with me the plight of the people of India, an ancient race descending continuously from Mu, and yet a mixture of races, of subsequent comings and goings of lifewaves—a race of people whose fiery destiny has been in many instances forgotten.”
In the same dictation, he explained that the cosmic destiny of the people of India is to master their seven chakras from the base of the spine to the crown chakra. “I would, then, that you would understand that the attainment of the mind of God and the focusing of that mind can come only when the other chakras, from the base of the spine to the crown, are mastered. And, therefore, to one of the oldest of all civilizations and peoples and the one having had the greatest attainment of light is given the responsibility of raising the light of the Mother unto the crown of the Buddhic fulfillment.” (Pearls of Wisdom(R), Vol. 59, No. 23, December 15, 2016)
In a dictation given by beloved El Morya in 1990, the master mentioned the cosmic significance behind the founding of America and the spiritual connection between that event and the Summit Lighthouse. He said, “And I tell you, beloved, these two acts are the greatest in the history of this present world. [The first] is the founding of this civilization on the foundations of freedom and the principles of God whereby two hundred years later there could come about [the second], the founding of The Summit Lighthouse as the spiritual culmination and the capstone on that pyramid. These are the Alpha and the Omega of this civilization.” (Pearls of Wisdom®, Vol. 33, No. 35, September 9, 1990)
In a 1982 dictation given jointly by beloved Peace and Aloha, Arcturus and Victoria, and the Keeper of the Scrolls, the masters further emphasized the significance of the date of July 4, 1776, by tying it to the destiny of America. They said, “The moment of conception, beloved hearts, is a very delicate one. July 4, 1776, is the moment of the conception of the sons and daughters of Liberty and their own self-creation. It is the hour of declaration of independence from the false-hierarchy impostors of the Father/Mother God.” (Pearls of Wisdom®, Vol. 25, No. 14, April 4, 1982)
The joint cosmic destinies of India and America as twin-flame nations are intertwined for a divine purpose. Those of us who love India realize that this relationship is unique and believe that the strengthening of this union is key to the victory and freedom of the United States, India, and the world. That is why we continue to cultivate this awareness among Keepers of the Flame for ongoing prayers and decree work.
Beloved Saint Germain in his dictation in 1959 explained that nations across the world represent different parts of the earth body. And as such, both India and America represent two vital parts of the earth body–one represents head and the other heart— both parts are central to the proper functioning of the whole body. He said, “Each nation has a divine plan of its own to fulfill and, according to their divine destinies, the various nations of the world represent the various parts of the earth’s body. Therefore, in the new age, the land of India shall represent ‘head’ of such an ‘earth body’ and the land of America the ‘heart’” Take notice, please, that the name ‘India’ begins with the letter ‘I’ and ‘America’ with ‘Am.’ Is this not significant?” (Pearls of Wisdom®, Vol. 2, No. 20, May 22, 1959)
In another landmark dictation of 1979, beloved Chananda released a powerful thought form for a perfect figure eight flow of cosmic energies between India and America and the significance of this relationship for the fulfillment of the divine plan for the planet Earth. He said, “We send forth the thought form of the converging of the flames of East and West. ………. Therefore, placing the focal point of the Mother and her chelas in the West as one extreme of the figure eight, we desire to see the nucleus of light in India established so that there can be a perpetual flow over this figure eight, and over that flow the transmutation of planetary karma. Considering then that this forcefield is now one end of the figure eight, you can with your mind’s eye place your finger at that extreme point at the figure eight: and now you can imagine that figure eight rotating over the entire surface of the Earth, so that wherever there is an ashram of light, a community teaching center, there becomes the extreme, the other point of the figure eight.”
“The Lord Sanat Kumara has determined to place himself at that mighty nexus of the figure eight wherever it occurs. Thus, through the mighty heart of the Ancient of Days, the light that translates between you shall fulfill both aspects of the law – that of accelerating light in the earth by his mighty heart and that of bearing the cross of planetary karma.” (Unpublished dictation, used by permission of the Summit Lighthouse, December 29, 1979)
Both India and America are nations sponsored by the Great White Brotherhood. “White,” of course, is referring to the aura of light, not race. Beloved Chananda is particularly interested in bringing about a golden-age government based on the principles behind the Constitution of the United States, and he is concerned with problems of racial and religious divisions between people. That’s where we, the Keepers of the Flame, can embrace our calling to help realize Chananda’s dream by giving our energies for the bringing together of India and America and for the ushering in of the planet Earth into the great golden age. It takes each of us to hold the flame for these two twin-flame nations.
