Wrapping Up 2018 – A Year of Opportunities

We bade farewell to 2018 with grateful hearts for bringing many opportunities for the expansion of light in India through contacting the lightbearers and gifting us with a renewed vision and a greater sense of enthusiasm to maintain our focus to keep serving the masters. Looking back at yesteryears, we feel grateful and self-assured of their presence with us in making the difference in our outreach efforts in the relatively short span of seven years since we began our work in India in 2011. Standing at the portal of the new year, we express our gratitude to heaven as we write the last story of 2018 for ‘El Morya’s Garden’ highlighting the December activities at the ashram.

India Demagnetization Rituals

The Spiritual Committee of the Chananda Cultural Society organized and conducted a 4.5-hour global India broadcast on Saturday, December 8, with the help of a team of chelas from the Washington DC Teaching Center, Los Angeles Teaching Center and Headquarters. The team made fervent calls on many diverse issues India is currently facing in the areas of social injustice, environmental pollution, education, border relations, and national security invoking divine assistance through decree work.

These broadcasts have been conducted regularly since August 2015. They are given twice a year during the summer and winter solstices. Many thanks to the dedicated chelas who labor side by side with the ascended masters for weeks to research, write, organize, conduct and participate in these worldwide networks of light!

Lately we have been following the news in India to get a sense of what this spiritual work has accomplished. For example, following the “demag” major media in India reported:

• Job growth and development across the nation is at an all-time high, lifting people out of poverty.
• An unprecedented peace corridor has been established between India and Pakistan so Sikh devotees can travel to the final resting place of Guru Nanak who Mother explained represents the Holy Christ Self for the Sikh branch of Hinduism.
• President Trump has signed a policy to put pressure on China to grant visas for Americans (especially Tibetan-Americans) who want to visit Tibet.

Further, we are certain that the demags contribute mightily to cutting free the lightbearers of India and is one of the reasons that our recent events have had such good attendance. The demags combined with the monthly India broadcast decree services from the Bozeman Teaching Center, the outreach services from Headquarters, increased advertising, and even perhaps the filling of the pools in Montana with the sacred waters have all contributed to an exciting turning of cycles in India and around the world. We hope you feel it too wherever you are!

Mini–Workshops at the Ashram

The free mini-workshop series, “Balance Your Chakras with Violet Flame and Transform Yourself” began on November 25 at the ashram and are generating a lot of enthusiasm. They are being attended by both existing members and new seekers with a great zeal. Three out of the total of nine workshops will be held in the month of January.

The workshops are conducted on Sundays from noon to 1:30 pm and are preceded by group decrees from 11:00 am until noon. Many people prefer to attend both sessions. Following the workshops we often enjoy fellowship and light refreshments we bring in. (For those of you who enjoy Indian food, we hope you can imagine delicious pakoras and other Indian delicacies, fruit, and chai or juice.) This social time has helped us get to know and become friends with the students and has been another key to our growth in India.

Many times these students call or stop in later to seek advice or spiritual mentoring. They want to know how we apply the teachings of the ascended masters in our own lives. Eventually they are receptive to becoming Keepers of the Flame. We find that developing relationships is critical for supporting seekers on their spiritual paths and recommend it for every group.

Jaipur Study Group

The city of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is the heart chakra of India. And as such, it is a very important city from a spiritual standpoint. Jaipur is located about five hours away from Delhi by train, which for a westerner is an experience in itself. Traveling in the comfortable—yet economical—business class, we are entertained by almost constant offerings of items to make the journey more pleasant. First the newspapers are brought down the aisle by a uniformed steward with an impressive fanned hat. Next he begins the breakfast process. Down the aisle comes the cart with thermoses of tea or coffee. Then comes a banana. Then come cornflakes. Now comes the hot milk. Next comes an entree of eggs or vegetarian dish, etc. etc. When the breakfast procedures have been completed…well, then it’s time for a nap since the train left at 6:00 AM meaning one had to leave the ashram before 5:00 AM to get to the Delhi train station. Before you know it, you have arrived in beautiful, clean, warm, sunny, and pink (really terra cotta) Jaipur.

We had visited Jaipur twice in the past, conducting workshops and sharing the teachings of the ascended masters with local friends. Two of our guides from our past India pilgrimages live there and one of them (Dependra Singh for those who remember him) has a perfect venue for our gatherings on the second floor of his family home. It has a special feeling—like a mysterious “upper room” for those who find their way to the teachings—usually by the referral of other friends.

Many seekers have attended these workshops and expressed a great interest in learning more. We visited Jaipur on December 22 again and shared the teachings on the seven chakras, the violet flame and the science of the spoken word as taught by the messengers and the masters.

It was humbling to hear the personal stories from the group about the positive changes that had taken place in their lives by giving the violet flame decrees. For example, on one occasion a manager brought his colleagues from work and they all testified to the truth of his story that he had formerly been very shy and retiring. But after giving the violet flame manta, “I AM a being of violet fire, I AM the purity God desires!” nine times every day, he became more assertive and effective. Of course, his colleagues wanted to learn more about this as well. We promised to return there again in April.

New Year Gathering

Every year, we celebrate two major events at the ashram in which the whole community is invited. One is a New Year event at the end of the year. The second is Mother’s birthday on April 8. This year, we have invited our members to celebrate New Year on Saturday, December 29 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The agenda will include decrees, songs, a short sermon and consecration of the letters to the Karmic Board followed by refreshments. People seem to love the idea of writing letters to the Karmic Board. We have learned that events like these not only help in bonding the members with one another but also provide a strong foundation for building the community of the ascended masters on earth.
