Celebrating the Sangha and the Can-Do Spirit!
By Meela Govender, President
Our recent Summit University South Africa 2016 seminar entitled The Fire of Initiation: Embrace the Deep Mysteries of the Heart was held between the 5th-9th August 2016 at our beautiful and sacred premises in Johannesburg. Johannesburg is known as the “City of Gold” and is in the base chakra, embodying the mother light for the Continent of Africa.
This seminar was certainly a life changing experience, one that allowed us to celebrate life and experience our victory in God and sponsoring Masters, Lady Master Nada and the hierarchs of the Ruby Ray – Sanat Kumara, Gautama Buddha, Lord Maitreya and Jesus Christ.
A month prior to the event, the Community joined their voices in fiery decree sessions, including 144 judgement calls at our weekly Saint Germain services, using the transforming power of the science of the spoken word, to lift the burdens of our people and our nation and to start the upward spiral of victory for our forthcoming seminar.
During the five-day seminar, we received in-depth training on initiations on the path of the ruby ray, which chelas responded to with the fire of the heart and a sparkle in the eye.
We wept in joy hearing again the timeless story of Sanat Kumara and his great sacrifice for the earth and her evolutions.
Reverends Neroli and Peter Duffy created the magic and provided the charisma that made the learning so special, along with our very own Teaching Assistants, James and Hetta Piek, Pamela Margolis and Premeela Wentzel. The workshops were thoroughly interactive which garnered enthusiastic and voluntary support for the teachings presented rather than mere compliance – which would have shaped behaviour rather than attitude. The presenters also encouraged constructive and critical thinking rather than conformist behaviour.
The presenters were professional and adept, easily finding common ground and achieving buy-in to complex ideas. This through high energy, proactive warm communication, trust building and engagement with all members of the community.
In addition to them helping us in embracing the deep mysteries of the heart, they also provided valuable keys to increasing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual capacity, for example brain gym, the left brain/right brain shift, demonstrated by Rev. Neroli. Rev. Neroli also showed us a technique of ‘smudging’ all the door frames with an essential oil preparation called “Thieves” (clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary) combined with essential oil of White Angelica, for protection against entities, bacteria, viruses, etc., as some in the community had started coming down with flu and bronchitis (it is said that during the 16th century four thieves survived the Black Plague due to knowledge of this formula, whilst robbing from the dead bodies).
During the seminar we tapped deeply into our innermost values to define a strong sense of purpose for ourselves. This increased spiritual capacity will no doubt serve as sustenance in the face of any upcoming adversity as we face our challenges in the fiery furnace of the Rose Cross. We have also gained a powerful source of motivation, focus, determination and resilience to stand, face and conquer our initiations on the path of the Ruby Ray.
We sang our wonderful South African National Anthem, with lyrics in five of the eleven official languages; Rev. Neroli and Peter delighted in the words and rhythm of the anthem. On Tuesday, the last day, community members Alfred and Nnini and their daughters Joel and Sarah, dressed handsomely in traditional African costume. The light released during this Summit University will help us all individually and as a continent to walk in the footsteps of Afra, leading the people of Africa to the Throne of Glory.
We watched the movie “Awake” on the life of Paramahansa Yogananda, a saint who walked the path of sacrifice, surrender, selflessness and service.
Several chelas took the wondrous opportunity of receiving the sacrament of baptism. We were very blessed to witness the sacred ordination of Lay Sister Premeela Wentzel.
A big thank you to all our volunteers in action for your service, service and more service. We are so grateful and blessed to have had such a unique opportunity to grow spiritually and bond as a Community in South Africa.
May beloved Archangel Micah Angel of Unity, unite the hearts of the people of South Africa and Africa in the days and months to follow.

Wow, where do I start? Okay, let me first introduce myself so that you understand where I come from. I am new in the teaching, and only been here for 12 months when I attend the conference.
I was in a confused bubble for about 4 months before I found my feet and felt that I belong.
Our group in South Africa did decrees and asked the Masters to open doors to people to hear about the conference and make it possible to attend. It was an experience and to watch people enrolling, create an expectation about what was about to happen.
I had just started a new job and could not get leave to attend. I was very disappointed and it was kind of embarrassing to tell my President that I cannot attend due to leave problems. I decided to ask again about 3 days before the conference and my leave was granted. I was ecstatic.
The title was: Embrace The Deep Mysteries Of The Heart.
I had the following expectations of the conference:
My wish list was long, but all had to do with my intense striving to purify my chakra’s and become closer to my I AM Presence.
Each day had a different impact on me. I had actually forgot what I wrote down on my wish list, but was in for a ride.
I would go home at night in amazement how the teachings of the 12 months just open up to me, make sense and become clear. I experienced an amazing growth and connection night after night and I was on a high.
Words cannot explain what the conference really meant to me.
The discussions of The Initiations On The Path Of The Ruby Ray was phenomenal and showed me a way to measure my life and actions towards purification.
I will, without any doubt or second thought, recommend this conference to anybody who strives towards purification and moving closer to the I AM Presence.
I toured Egypt some time ago, long before I knew about this teachings, and I felt at home in Luxor, without knowing why or think how it is possible. The penny dropped when we discussed Serapis Bey during the conference.
I believe that the conference gives guidelines how to act with the masters, but the attendees get a different message for them at that specific time in their life and that is awesome, awesome, awesome.
Thank you again to the Board of the Summit Lighthouse in South Africa to afford and offer the conference to us and all people involved to make it a huge success.
Congratulations to all who made this wonderful SU conference possibe. It is remarcable how your group grew, since I left South Africa at the end of August 2011. All the decree work paid of in a great, divine way and I can see and feel what I missed, not being able to share this great opportunity with you. Also I have not much to show for, in enfiring pupils for the Ascended Masters, I found officialy no one I could share the teachings……
but today I had a wonderful experience. A lady who shortens my new slagsfor me, when giving her upfront the money, returned it to me with the words, can you give me an altar of your church instead? I knew I had one at home, the big one, but helas it was bleached by the sun,in my South African and early Swiss home, she did not mind, did not want me to order a new copy, but insisted, and was delighted with the one I owed since the beginning of me being in the teachings, bought in Montana in 1995,…..amazing, I was speachless,……so as from today onwards, 2 homes in Mother’s country of origin and heritage have a similar altar!
Always victory!
Greeting to you all
