Celebrating the Sangha and the Can-Do Spirit!
By Rev. David Drye
In November, the Communicants and Keepers of the Flame in Mexico worked very hard to prepare for three Summit University weekend retreats on the Path of the Boddhisattva in Mexico City, Aguascalientes and Torreon. They did a fabulous job. The altars in each city were some of the most beautiful that we have seen. They placed potted daises around the altar and members took them home as a keepsake from the event.
I came from the Inner Retreat, Rev. Rosalia and Rev. Neus Pares from Spain and Rev. Juanita de los Santos from Texas helped to conduct the seminars. There were many in attendance with the largest gathering being in Mexico City where there were 175 attendees, including some new seekers.
Some of the highlights of the teachings of the retreat included learning about the five Dhyani Buddhas and the path of the Bodhisattva. People were inspired to hear about the hearts of many masters who are Bodhisattvas and have vowed to remain with the lifewaves of earth until all have attained their victory and freedom in the light. Attendees heard landmark dictations, including a dictation from Mighty Cosmos where he anchored his Secret Rays into the earth. It was very inspiring to everyone.
The Keepers of the Flame of Mexico are some of our most dedicated members and do a great deal of spiritual work to hold the balance for their country. We see in their faces the sweetness and love of the Divine Mother as Mother Mary is so prevalent in their country.
