India Corridor – Easter 2014

By Jaspal Soni

We had a good turnout for our study group meeting on Easter Sunday, April 20. Beginning March 23, we have been meeting at the ashram every Sunday afternoon from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. The agenda includes discussing one of the seven rays through PowerPoint presentations, listening to the teachings given by beloved Mother on that ray and ending with decrees. Often 2-3 new people arrive every week as we have advertised these workshops on our Chananda Cultural Society website.

Until recently, we were doing the Keepers of the Flame (KOF) service on Saturday afternoons. Typically, the service is attended by up to ten people. Recently, some people suggested combining the Saint Germain service with the Sunday afternoon service in order to make it easier for them to travel. So, as of last week, we have been meeting on Sundays from 4:00 -7:30 pm–doing decrees from 4:00-5:15 pm and continuing with the workshop until 7:30 pm. We take tea break with cookies in between the two services.

Easter Sunday was the day for the fifth ray workshop, which turned out to be good day weather-wise. Thus far this year, Delhi has been blessed with mild weather (90-95 degrees with low humidity). Normally this time of the year, the temperature climbs over 100 degrees with hot air blowing, making it more difficult to be outdoors during day time. Thank you beloved elementals!

Since we live on the third floor, we conduct our workshops on a huge balcony area (40 feet X 30 feet) which is private and open under sky. It can easily accommodate 40 to 50 people. To protect us from the sun during the afternoon, last week we installed four bamboo shades (five feet wide) in the verandah area. These shades can be rolled up and down as needed.

Our last workshop in the series is on May 11. We will continue meeting informally until May 25 discussing the teachings, listening to dictations and doing decrees. I will be leaving for the US on May 31 to attend the summer conference. In my absence, the ashram will stay open for the KOF to meet once a week on Sundays for decrees.
